My wife and I, along with our two daughters, have stayed here three times and have loved it! On each occasion the food has been outstanding, with so much accompanying veg and potatoes that we have struggled to finish it. Great breakfasts too, I`m sure we put on pounds! But I suppose I might be biased as I was, after... More

The food was superb. Seafood platter for £23 great value. Super wine list. Overall a delight with stunning views over Cambletown Loch

Just been for dinner and it was absolutely disgusting. My mushroom starter was in a horrible sauce. For main course we had spaghetti bolognaise which came with salad and garlic bread. The meat and sauce was greasy and the meat was obviously cheap smelt strange and frankly would not have fed my dog it. They also forgot our garlic bread,... More

We have just spent the weekend at the Craigard House Hotel in Campbeltown. We booked the four poster bedroom which had great views overlooking Campbeltown Loch. I can recommend the hotel to anyone looking to visit the town, the proprietors Rodger, Lori and their staff will make you very welcome, don't bother eating anywhere else as the food here is... More

What a lovely review! Many thanks for these cheery and upbeat comments. We try to create an easy and comfortable atmosphere, with a relaxing aperitif whilst choosing from the menu, and books and magazines for guests to browse in the lounge whilst waiting for their food to be cooked to order. We are delighted that you enjoyed the super sea... More

I had an evening meal at the Cragard - believe it was the seafood platter with smoked mussls - and it was incredible. Lovely restaurant, great view, Dougie Maclean as background music - but the meal was really outstanding. Also found the owners very friendly and service great. Will be going back.

nicely decorated, stylish restaurant that serves excellent, imaginative food without being pretentious. We had to wait for half an our to be seated in the dining room but hardly noticed the wait, because we were placed in a comfortable lounge area and immediately got drawn into a number of conversations. Although the quality of the food would have merited formal... More

We were dropped off by taxi, and were shown into a guest room with a tv. We both looked at each other and wondered had we done the right thing - could we run after and stop the taxi?! This set up reminded us of a guesthouse common room, although it was cosy and had a beautiful view. To be... More

The menu is extensive an there should be something for everyone. There is the usual menu fayre plus a good range of dishes that are a bit different. Local produce is used to give a sense of what is produced locally. Excellent all round.
