We were stayed in a caravan park just up the road from the Creagan Inn and walked down for dinner one night. It is a fairly large pub but felt welcoming and cosy. We arrived fairly early so were lucky to get a table by the window and had a fantastic view over the loch. We had a haddock and... More

This looked a lovely place from the website and when we arrived we sat outside to enjoy the view over Loch Creran, watching the birds. It was a lovely evening with the sun shining. We enjoyed Rapeseed oil and bread outside whilst sampling the various beers on offer. Having selected our starters and mains we were shown inside to a... More

Had dinner there on Monday 16th June, we were so looking forward to it, it was a beautiful night with stunning views over the loch then we had to go and spoil it by ordering the food. I had the Supreme of Chicken which was dry and tasteless an my husband had the venison burger which was also dry and... More

Probably the most stunning view with a meal I ever had, venison burger excellent as was the pork with mustard sauce. Cloutie dumpling delicious. Only gripe was that with only 2 staff on that we felt we were waiting ages for drinks. Well worth a visit especially in evening when it's cooled down and eating with the view is so... More

Having decided in the past that the place looked amazing, we decided to visit it today as the weather was stunning. We walked into the place and the lad said hello and we were asked 'are you just in for drinks?', I asked about food. We were told to grab a seat n someone would be out. We were brought... More

This place has the most beautiful setting. Sat outside this evening and savoured the atmosphere.Unfortunately that's where the savouring ended. The food was not very good. Dry burgers undercooked chips - very underwhelming. Would not recommend.

Overall a disappointing experience and such a great shame. Would agree its a fabulous setting but the service and food was extremely lacking. The beer was cloudy, there was only a small portion of vegetables between 2 so we asked for another which we did get. Over priced for what we got. Didn't bother with a pudding, rather not furnish... Given the wonderful location of this pub / restaurant, I'm very disappointed and frankly astonished at the positive ratings this place gets. Maybe I hit them on a bad night (but I suspect not), the service is entirely indifferent, there is no atmosphere, the so-called gastro scallops - just two on a bit of black pudding - are very over-priced...
