Ming Dynasty waiters

Mention this restaurant and you get the same response: "is it still there??" Descend from street level and travel back in time. This is the Tardis of Chinese restaurants. It feels like we first visited in 1898 and im sure the waiter is the same one we had then! The most important thing is that you... read more

Dined here years ago and felt the need to go back, always had good memories of the food. We were not disappointed, one felt it was the best sweet and sour they had ever had the mussels were to die for. The staff were lovely, so attentive and made the eating experience such a pleasure. Would highly recommend this place.

I am so disappointed. Partner and I came to try out their Chinese hot pot on our last night in Aberdeen. The restaurant was the first place we went to when we arrived a year ago. The hot pot was fine. So the price was for unlimited refills. However once you sat down for it they tell you that the... More

My first visit; for a business lunch. From street level you might decide to give it a miss but I was told that this was the best place for Dim Sum in Aberdeen and couldn't disagree. Really good and just 15 mins to prepare and serve. I can also vouch for the King Prawns in honeyed chili. There were about... More

Recently ate here for my very elderly mother's birthday, we all like dimsum so went at Sunday lunchtime. We all enjoyed our meal very much, especially my mother who is able to nibble and get exactly the amount of food she fancies. The staff were very friendly and helpful, also this is a very economical way to eat. We worked... More

We popped in here as my visiting Chinese friends wanted some Chinese food. I haven't been for ages but the food was absolutely delicious. All the meals went down well and I'm sure we'll visit again before my friends leave. Food wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for. I've been visiting for over 20 years and I've never... More

Last visited the Yangtse Restaurant back in 2000, its had a little refurbishment, nothing major I am glad to say. Food and service just as good as ever, 7 of us turned up on Saturday afternoon, no problem with a table and food came out nice and quick. Portions a little bit smaller than they used to be, but just... More

I was in Aberdeen for a long weekend and relied on the ratings and reviews on TripAdvisor to find a Chinese restaurant. This one was rated highly, but I have no idea why as I was very disappointed. 1. The waiter could not pour wine and a lot of it ended up on the table. 2. I ordered the Dim... More
