2nd time I have visited. The wait time and customer service was poor but the food was excellent so I returned with my indian food loving husband in tow. Sadly I felt embarrassed I had suggested the place. We got a table at 730 pm upstairs which sadly lacked the same atmosphere as downstairs plus there were 2 separate large... More

This is my fourth visit and it's truly my favourite Indian restaurant. Each time I visit, downstairs is always very busy. There were a mix of nationalities and lots of Indian families of all ages. My friend and I shared one of the renowned Dosas - which had spiced potato in the centre - love their Dosas. I then had... More

Returned to the restaurant after having a very positive experience a few months ago. Unfortunately it was not what we expected. Service was quite poor, a long time to be served drinks and a long wait between starters and mains. Drink service was poor - served luke warm tap water that is sitting on the bar in jugs! No ice... Wow - did not expect that! Took the family to Rishis last night and it was fantastic. First time visit, but think i have found my new favourite Indian restaurant in Aberdeen. We went early evening and it was already very busy - always encouraging! We started off with the Madras Masala Dosa to share, and it was absolutely delicious.... More

The ambience is splendid. The staff very knowledgeable about their MENU. The various dishes offered were exceptionally delectable. The chefs were more than willing to modify their cooking according to your whims and fancies. the restaurant is almost always full,so please book ahead.

I found this place almost by accident as I was walking down George Street to go elsewhere. It was on a Monday night so we assumed it would be really quiet - wrong ! The place was full, and we had to wait a few minutes until a table became free. I would estimate that 75% of the customers were... More

Disappointed with our second visit to rishis. Starter arrived within five minutes but still waiting for main course 55 minutes later...no exaggeration. Manager did seem to be sincerely apologetic. I won't be returning here in a hurry to be honest. Jewel in the Crown Aberdeen from now on. Always stick to what's best lesson learned!

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever visited. We managed to get a table early on a Saturday evening despite not booking, but we were lucky as it was extremely busy. The restaurant itself is large, bright and modern, with tables laid out in random order. Not a piece of flocked wallpaper in sight! The menu includes the biggest... More

Enjoyed probably the best Indian food i've had outside London. Friendly efficient staff. Nice and clean.

This is good value and more than you might expect. Comfortably spaced out tables not crammed in like some Indian Restaurants. We were here on a Monday evening in early July and it was busy. The patrons were a diverse mix of graduating students, Indian sub-continent family, Norwegians, Chinese and town residents. The food is South Indian not a huge... More
