We are an independent lunchtime destination serving well priced freshly made soup and sandwiches from same day baked organic bread using local ingredients and quality ingredients where the filling is not local. Our soups are made on the premises same day as are all our cakes. Our coffee is roasted locally (one street away) and we don't use preservatives. We aim to provide quality and taste with a smile. Do come try us. We look forward to seeing you. The Coffee House Team.

Super Sandwich & Crafty Cake

Sat at the heart of Aberdeen's independent foodie/cultural quarter The Coffee House offers a great space to chat, munch and while away the day. With splendidly fresh sandwiches accompanied by fresh rocket and cucumber salad, crisps - it buzzes each day around lunch. For pudding I had a slice of... read more

Was in Aberdeen for the day and a friend suggested we visit The Coffee House for lunch, looked great inside, menu sounded delicious - pretty pricey but I hear that's Aberdeen in general - and had a lovely selection of cold drinks and coffee syrups on offer. Went for the soup and sandwich deal with a Chai latte. The coffee... More

I'm a regular at the coffee house and for a reason. The staff are always friendly and professional even in the busy periods. The food is great, including the great selection of cakes and sandwiches. Such a welcoming place to relax. Would recommend!

Have visited coffee house on numerous occasions- staff friendly, lovely food. However my last visit was very disappointing ordered small sandwich for mum as I had done 3 weeks previously. Sandwiches came both large(never thought of what I had paid) I said to member of staff that I had ordered small sandwich for my mum and she said in not... More

Used to enjoy going there for lunch, not any more, the soup was horrible no taste what so ever, we ordered sandwiches which was to have mayonnaise on it no signs of any on ours, they got the bread mixed up, staff not exactly welcoming, place needs a good clean, we were in there just after 11am, so it's not... This used to be my favourite place for a coffee. But it has went dramatically downhill My coffee was mainly in the saucer, it was a struggle to find clean cutlery, the table was dirty and we were in five minutes after it opened. The gap in the wooden planked tables was one step beyond rustic it had food debris... More

I visited this cafe for the first time on 08/05/15 and it was absolutely terrible. I sat there with my girlfriend for an hour during which I experienced the worst customer service ever. To begin with, for the first 30 minutes we just sat and waited for 2 cups of coffee and 2 slices of cake. During that time 3... More

Visited here twice on a recent weekend trip to Aberdeen and absolutely loved it. It is a very comfortable cosy cafe, nicely decorated, warm and inviting. Staff are friendly pleasant and efficient as it is a busy spot. The coffee is wonderful and there is a great selection of food, sweet and savoury. Wonderful atmosphere!

Met a pal here for lunch. It is a really pretty space with lots of temptation. I had a bowl of sweet potato soup with gf bread followed by gf cake. Lovely space, great staff and yum food. In a city where there are so many shopping malls and chain stores and cafes, it was a huge relief to find... More

Visited for lunch and enjoyed lovely BLT sandwiches and home made soup. Staff were friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. Slightly pricey but it's a nice atmosphere so I would say its worth it.
