I think the food here is excellent. Ive been to stay at this hotel 2 times now and both times i thought the food was exquisite and was beautifully plated up. I must admit some things are a bit pricey, but i guess that comes with quality. The breakfast was really nice as well. Service was sometimes a bit slow,... More

Menu to please everyone. Attentive staff. Breakfast is just as good with an excellent buffet. Individual coffee pots were a welcome surprise as was the toast offered on arrival. In most hotels you usually stand waiting for your toast to cook while your food goes cold.

Several of our group wanted coffee with our meal but were told it would come later. So thought surely with dessert but no it was served after we had all finished.

We have been visiting the hotel for lunch for over 30 years and have always found the food to be a 'challenge'. The problem is the hotel and staff keep changing and there is no consistency with the food. The only way to describe lunch on Monday 30th is £72's worth of 'rubbish'!! The service and ambience was faultless, as... More

We went for lunch after fishing on the dee in the morning. Aberdeen is not cheap but this place is ridiculous. £8 for a roast beef and pickle sandwich and £7 for tomato soup. I could forgive it if the food was good but the tomato soup tasted like it was out of a tin. The sandwich had no pickles.... More

My partner and I went for dinner here. Staff in restaurant look scruffy. Came to the table too many times asking if everything was ok. Food was nothing special and took a while to come out. Don't think I would eat there again as when I got home I had a very sore stomach and wasn't too well the next... More

Starter was "Velouté of roast parsnips, maple syrup" soup in a word, overly sweet for my taste although others around the table did like it and the bread rolls were nice. The main course "Traditional roast breast of turkey, glazed root vegetables, roast potatoes, sloe gin jus" was for me inedible as the sloe gin jus was completely overpowering and... More

Ate here as part of a stay and dine package. Broad range of options across all courses and we were given complimentary freshly baked set of hot breads presented impressively on a slate with rock salt and oils! Then we were given a complimentary and delicious warm fennel veloute with pernod foam in a little glass cup. We also received... More

My sister and I dined at Blairs restaurant recently. The food and the service could not be faulted. There was a slight issue with smoke from the open fire but once that calmed down it was very pleasant. Whilst my experience of the hotel (from recent visits) has not been great the dining experience was lovely and the staff were... More

I booked the Blairs Restaurant for my husbands birthday meal on friday August 24th. He was retiring that day so I decided to splash out on a meal at Ardoes in the hopes it would be equal to the occasion.. We were told that they were fully booked but could fit us in at an earlier time and said they... More
