We went here on the recommendation of a friend of the owner. It sounded lovely and we were excited to have a special evening there. As they had an event on that evening, they could only take us at 5:30pm. We arrived on time and were told that the table wasn't ready. We sat in the lounge for 20 minutes... More

Stayed at the Beech Hill House hotel for a 2 night break and enjoyed some excellent food in their Ardmore restaurant. The restaurant has a lovely ambience both in the inner part and the "conservatory" area that overlooks a splendid view of part of the extensive gardens of the hotel. The food is beautifully presented with fresh flavours and it... More

The Ardmore is located in the upscale Beech Tree Inn just outside of Derry. The grounds of the home like most of Ireland are lush and green and the inn stately and quiet. The house and grounds all add to your dining experience and you are made to feel very special when you cross through the doors. What about the food?... More

In a city with some great restaurants like Browns, it is lovely to see a hotel with equally as good food!

Worst afternoon tea I've ever had.... Nothing dainty about it. We had to ask for some little sweet buns/ biscuits ,only 3 finger sandwiches each,a very large scone served with cream and jam and a little jar of Apple crumble. Would not recommend it at all. Staff were very nice and did bring a little plate of sweet things. But... More

The meal really was a picture on a plate and they do say you eat with your eyes - and what we saw was wonderful cooking. Ardmore Restaurant promotes and uses some wonderful local N I produce, the staff are so attentive and we would recommend this 'fine dining' experience to you.

We are just home from a most romantic dinner in the Ardmore Restaurant, Beech Hill Hotel. The evening menus was £29 for four courses of superb local produce cooked to perfection. My wife had vegetable soup, sirloin steak with champ, the apple and gooseberry tart with coconut ice cream. I started with the chicken liver pate and home made chutney,... More

I visited this beautiful hotel as part of a conference and it is fair to say that the quality of the overall experience was very warm, inviting and more homely than you will find in any other Hotel in Derry City. Living locally I have always been aware of the great reputation held by this hotel and it most definitely... More
