Excellent, Elegant Food and Service

The food is fresh and local. The chef prepares thoughtful, creative menus and desserts--oh, the desserts! The waitstaff is highly professional and helpful.

We ate here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quite busy and had the added enjoyment of a pianist tinkling the ivories on the grand piano...the food was beautifully presented and my steak was cooked to perfection...medium rare was exactly that. The vegetables were delicious and we were offered more which was lovely! We chose from the table de... More

A very nice place for dinner. It's special and in a lovely setting especially on a nice spring evening. The meals are made from high quality produce and delicious. The staff are quite attentive. There is a comfortable old world bar to relax in before/after dinner. I would certainly recommend for a special occasion as long as there is not... More

Cannot fault in any shape or form. Succulent meat, fresh veg, interesting menu options and the home made bread is outstanding.

A wonderful evening started relaxing in the oh so comfortable bar area where staff were attentive but not intrusive. Menus were handed out there and orders taken . It's a menu that changes regularly but on a glorious summer evening there was a glorious summer menu We were seated just before starters arrived : and my tastebuds started to tingle... More

We went here on the recommendation of a friend of the owner. It sounded lovely and we were excited to have a special evening there. As they had an event on that evening, they could only take us at 5:30pm. We arrived on time and were told that the table wasn't ready. We sat in the lounge for 20 minutes... More

Stayed at the Beech Hill House hotel for a 2 night break and enjoyed some excellent food in their Ardmore restaurant. The restaurant has a lovely ambience both in the inner part and the "conservatory" area that overlooks a splendid view of part of the extensive gardens of the hotel. The food is beautifully presented with fresh flavours and it... More

The Ardmore is located in the upscale Beech Tree Inn just outside of Derry. The grounds of the home like most of Ireland are lush and green and the inn stately and quiet. The house and grounds all add to your dining experience and you are made to feel very special when you cross through the doors. What about the food?... More

In a city with some great restaurants like Browns, it is lovely to see a hotel with equally as good food!

Worst afternoon tea I've ever had.... Nothing dainty about it. We had to ask for some little sweet buns/ biscuits ,only 3 finger sandwiches each,a very large scone served with cream and jam and a little jar of Apple crumble. Would not recommend it at all. Staff were very nice and did bring a little plate of sweet things. But... More
