Recommended by my brother we were not disapointed as the ambiance, service and food were all first class. My wife and I both had the fillet steak and enjoyed every mouthful. Its about time the city had a restaurant that offers quality over large portions at low cost. The difference is worth it in everyway. When the bill came we... More

We ate here last week on our first visit to Derry. We booked to eat outside as we had our dog Archie with us as sailing, but on asking the owner allowed us to sit inside the door with him. Was a really nice touch as the evening was a bit chilly, also a great buzz inside. The food was... More

Very nice vibe I ate here on my own after a conference. It was very friendly, food was lovely, staff were great and all very good value. They have a local sourcing policy too, which is good.

The food is fresh and wholesome. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere. You don't feel rushed and the wine recommendation was spot on.

A rainy day outside, but a lovely warm welcome in here. The ethos -painted in artistic script around the walls - is that being good is worthwhile for its own sake. And the whole attitude of the place is just that. Good choice, value. Quality a little wayward but I can readily forgive that.

Eat here recently with the wife and a friend. Food is very good and the staff are very friendly. They bring their beef in from County Derry (Castlerock) and it's fantastic. Portions are generous but not too big. However, the wine list by the glass is very limited (one red, one white) and the 'pours' are huge (some locals might... More

When the sun is shining, there's very few places better to sit outside and soak up the weather. Great food, staff are all very friendly and the location is beautiful. Regularly take work colleagues here for lunch.

I am so sorry to write this review but I only hope the management accept my criticism to improve. I had heard good reports about the food and decided to try it out. I went at 5.55pm as I was in a hurry and was told it opened at 6pm. At 6.10pm I was asked what I wanted to drink... More

Had a lovely meal last night in Café del Mondo in Derry, really enjoyed the food and the general atmosphere, there was such a great buzz about the place. It was lovely warm evening and a lot of folks sat outside having a drink or a meal. We had great food and my daughter, who is a vegetarian, had a... More

Me and my friend recently visited Derry. We were invited in to have a look at the menu while we were walking on the city walls. We said we will give it a thought but returned about an hour later. The waiter recognised us immediately. Everything he said was true: great food (that doesn't even describe the starters, which were... More
