A dismal rainy night in Derry made good by excellent meal

Brown's is a real find - we spotted the positive reviews on Tripadvisor and were delighted they had a table for us when we walked in on a rainy Sunday night. The lamb was the best I have tasted for a very long time and the pudding menu is superb. Good value in terms of what you get and great... read more

Took friends here twice in the last two weeks...what a treat...service and food excellent..when you look at the cost for three courses. £15 (lunchtime) in a fine dining restaurant like this you think it's to good to be true..trust me it's five star food and presentation... If you want to impress or treat please go.

A special treat with varied and interesting menu. Prices above average for the region but worth a visit for romantic dinner or special occasion . Great wine list .

Ian and Chris came to our house in Belfast and produced a fantastic tasting menu for a birthday celebration. The food was first class; the menu was matched to our personal preferences. Ian even included some elements from our own vegetable garden, making this a very personal experience. Ian introduced each course and Chris explained the wine choices, which were... More

Wow! Another fantastic family lunch served up at Browns. With the restaurant opening early to accommodate our large party, toasting my inlaws on their silver wedding anniversary, we were quickly seated & treated to the most glorious of foods. As ever, the staff we're welcoming, friendly & eager to please. All of our group (ages ranging from 6yrs to 83yrs)... More

Amazing food, I can't say how great the food is. The chef Ian can be seen out chatting the customers which shows care and love for his job. The Attentive staff are welcoming..

Great taster menu and very impressive range of wines on offer. The staff (in particular Kevin) couldn't have been more attentive. A most enjoyable evening! Chef patron Ian Orr goes from strength to strength...

Welcome, care and service were as good as it gets. Food, wine were of a M* quality at a sensible price. Will go back for dinner next time in Derry.

Over recent years since chef Ian Orr started in Browns it has impressed with every visit. High quality produce used and creative dishes. Staff are attentive and very helpful. Will definitely keep going back for more.
