Best lunch in Northern Ireland.

I can't get over how fab this place is and it just keeps getting better. It's an oasis in the overpriced, over-described, stodgy, blandness that is most of the eating out in northern ireland. I've only ever done lunch there and both the regular menu and the specials are always made from the... read more

Visited here recently and went for a special on the board, it was gorgeous, fresh and very tasty. The service is good and the coffee is tasty. The place is in a great setting. Love finishing off lunch with a coffee and a smartie brownie outside, if the Newcastle weather allows for alfresco dining that day. Definitely worth a visit... More

Called here for lunch today after a hike, best lunch ever. Baked potato with chicken stuffing and cranberry with side salad. Really tasty food and good portion. Lovely quirky decor and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent friendly service will definitely be back.

Three of of us went Friday June 5th to the Monthly Bistro night. Everything on the menu looked amazing, it was so hard to choose. We all ordered a different dish, and each one was exquisitely executed, with such attention to detail. The service was professional and very friendly. This is a once a month occurrence and it is hard... More

What a great cutesy place, so kitch and fun! We visited on a Sunday for brunch and were lucky to get a table - it was very busy and they don't take bookings. The staff were great and the food was great, plus it was reasonably priced. Check out the toilets!

Home cooking! Was in this morning to pick up a sandwich and coffee for home office (busy!) and liked the lunch menu so much! Making a special 'foot forward' to treat the Golfers and their Followers extremely well. Look out over the sea as you eat - best view in town, across the road and down a bit from the... More

Had a lovely afternoon tea here yesterday with a friend. Great selection of delicious food and treats with wonderful views out to a stormy sea in a funky retro setting. Staff were welcoming and very friendly :)

I have been in the Olive Bazarre on 3 occasions in the past 2weeks. I wondered if it would be as good as last year. Need not have worried-everything was perfect, from the quirky ambience,to the wonderful homemade food to the truly warm welcome from (I think his name is) John and the rest of the staff. A real 'jewel'... More
