Food a bit like school dinners

Food a bit like school dinners, we were all left totally unimpressed. Tasteless bog standard food. None of us will be back.

Called into Armagh City Hotel on Sunday for tea out and was met at the lounge door by a young lady who got us a table to dine. She took our orders in record time and we were pleasently surprised by the meal. I ordered Chicken Chardonay with mushrooms and it was great. Fair play the hotel has really got... More

Went for Saturday carvery, officially it was closed but the chef Brendan still served us which was brilliant because we were hungry so 10 out of 10 for customer service. Had turkey and ham dinner and even at closing time it was fresh and morish stayed for a few cocktails. Had a great day.

We had a blast here one night. Just fun fun fun. They had a fake bull ride outside and the staff and patrons were fun to be around.

Just by catch booked the restaurant. I was presently surprised by the food, though I thought there could have been a better choice on the menu.

My friend and I decided to try the carvery at Armagh City hotel as a Christmas lunch. The inside of the hotel is very nice, much more so than expected from the outside! Coffee can be enjoyed in the large and comfortable foyer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was ok. Price wise it was there... More

Went with a tour group and it was our first stop in Ireland. Good lunch, although I should have noted the amount of potatoes they served -- it served as a theme for the remainder of our tour. They served us well, they served us quickly, and it was good.

Four of us ate in the bar of the city hotel last week. Three of the meals were poor and the fourth was mediocre. We didn't complain though we should have but after stirring our food about for a while we went and sat in the foyer and had a coffee --which was fine. i don't know what there restaurant... More

Went here for a meal with my husband for our anniversary. Staff very friendly, meal was served promptly and very filling although the mushy peas were tasteless and pepper sauce was bland and very watery! Prices have increased over the summer and are now very pricey although it is too be expected for a hotel.

I haven't visited the city hotel in over 6months for dinner due to bad service and not very good food but I went there for dinner tonight and I have to say they have improved a lot. The 2 girls Lisa and malissia (not sure of spelling) that served my table where both helpful and very friendly, the food came... More
