My family and I come here a couple of times a year, the food used to be great but recently it just hasn't been up to scratch for me personally.I ordered a chicken tikka Panni and I ended up taking most the chicken out, it was chewy and didn't taste very fresh.

We visited for a evening meal before heading over to the Marketplace Theatre for a show, for which Embers is ideally located. It looks rather enticing in the small, private area downstairs near the door, but upstairs comes across more like a day-time diner. It's quite brightly lit in the evening, which doesn't create an intimate, relaxed ambience : several... More

The food in this place is quite nice and the service is good and friendly. However we were quite shocked at the prices for what we got...for instance, a recent trip for breakfast cost us £16- we got an omelette, a baked potatoe and two smoothies....an evening meal consisting of a beef salad and chicken fajitas with two lattes was... The coffee served here is excellent. There is also a quite extensive menu serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. There is a good atmosphere in this restaurant.

My colleague and I decided to treat ourselves to embers full fry today and I have to say for the £6.50 I paid it was well worth the visit, first things first the ambience and service was excellent, quality of the coffee top class and then the full fry itself, well the plates spoke for themselves, you could tell by... called in on a Sunday evening after returning from a weekend away and it was so busy compared to some of the other restaurants nearby. We went here because it not a stuffy place (we were not really dressed for other restaurants). Menu is great. Service is a bit haphazard, staff are young and not very customer friendly but rather... My friend and I wanted a catch up and a quick bite . Arrived shortly after 1pm on monday to a very busy restaurant. We were shown to a table immediately and was then presented with menus and a list of specials, we decided on a baked potato and a carbonara. Our meal arrived beautifully presented and were really tasty.... More

Disappointed with our last 2 breakfast trips to embers, food was just ok, service slow and Bill way too high. Scrambled egg was absolutely disgusting - undercooked and very sloppy, somethin so simple u would wonder how they can get it so wrong! Sausages wer overcoooked and bacon was very fatty and greasy on the plate. Embers 'breakfast grill' looked... More
