I visited Uluru for the first time in a couple of years last week and I was quite disappointed with the experience. Previously I was overwhelmed by the flavour, variety and novelty (Kangaroo for example) of the menu and was really looking forward to a repeat performance. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. I had the special Brisket... More

We were in Armagh for a recording of the BBC's Blame Game show on Thursday 30th October past. The restaurant is just across the square in a lovely older end of terraced location. We had a lovely meal of starters and mains . I had the seafood broth which was totally different, and nicer , to a chowder that i... More

All restaurants, good ones included, go through stages. Uluru seems to me to be right at the top of its game just now. Ingredients, preparation, service are all spot-on. With a move of location already announced for 2015, it will soon be last orders up by the cathedral gates. Everything that grows holds in perfection but a little moment.

Most of the earlier reviews were positive, but I was slightly concerned about some of the unfavourable reviews saying that the portions were poor and value for money was low. I went for the prawn tempura starter and beef cheeks main from the daily specials, realistically the amount of food would have kept two people happy, and maybe left space... More

We visited Uluru on recommendation. Our hostess, Olivia, was very helpful. She brought us a small taster of kangaroo to taste which was really nice. Our main course was flavoursome and fresh. A cosy little bistro with a varied menu and excellent wine choice. The theatre is adjacent and Uluru would be an excellent place for a meal beforehand.

I was so glad Uluru was still in business when I returned to Armagh after a two-year absence. It's perfectly situated in the heart of the city and offers a really interesting menu influenced by the chef-owner's Australian background. The food is really well prepared and presented, the staff are friendly and thoughtful, there's a good drinks menu and the... More
