We visited the restaurant at James Street South for our Anniversary. Food was fab and service was excellent. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by helpful, friendly staff and this continued throughout the meal. The cuisine was refined, delicate, imaginative and bursting with flavour. Definitely recommend this place if you like good food!

The food is excellent. The menu is well-thought out. Not the most exciting wine list I've seen, but plenty of choice. Friendly staff. My one criticism is that the music is quite loud - and unncessary in a restaurant of this calibre where the best acoustic accompaniment is contented conversation and the occasional clink of a glass.

This is one of a smallish group of good, reliable fine dining restaurants around Belfast city centre. Have been quite a few times for lunch or dinner and never been disappointed. Happy to go there any time, and happy to recommend,

We decided to go for the early bird experience.. £37 for a 3 course menu. The food was great...above standard and well presented. Starters of lamb sweetbreads ( very good) followed by pigeon for me and salmon for my friend. The desserts were equally delicious. We ordered a carafe of Macon Lugny at £20 ...it seemed to fall a little... More

With no reservation we tried on the off chance for a table one wet, cold, Friday night in July! Well they squeezed us in. The restaurant has been updated since our last visit and is more open, airy and less formal. We liked it. Food was once again historic with the chilled Portavogie Crab Lasagne, Lemongrass & Brown Crab Bisque... More
