Very private and lovely dining experience

We had a business function for a large group. We reserved their private dinning room. It was perfect - quiet, spacious enough for 15+ and very private. Although the service was a bit slow but very good - it was a very enjoyable evening. The bread basket before the meal was a bit skimpy... read more

Taken here by a work colleague, fantastic food, circa 6 starters and 6 mains to choose from, excellent service and food, fish is a heavy feature of the starters and mains. The best cod I have ever tasted, served with scallops . All veg and bread is an extra charge but very good.

The best food I have had for a long time, anywhere. Grilled foie gras, monkfish and raspberry soufflé. All beautifully cooked and presented by really nice servers. Excellent wine. I don't know Belfast well enough to compare local prices, but by English standards it was very reasonable. A perfect experience.

What a fabulous lunch - and I'd definitely say the best orgasmic champ in Belfast! But close second comes the Raspberry soufflé. Fabulous food and brilliant service. Thank you

One of the best in Belfast. Cocktails, meal, service were all excellent. Seafood risotto and Fillet steak were among the best we've ever had. The service was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient without being given intrusive. A very good meal indeed.

- depth of flavors in Hogget dish was incredible (without the consommé) - the cheap Domaine Les Yeuses Merlot was a great find

I visited James Street South with other ~15 colleagues for a business dinner, following a local colleague's recommendation. Despite being a bit intimidated in the beginning, because of the small street outside the restaurant, I forgot everything when I stepped in. I had a wonderful experience, since... 1) Area: an experienced interior designer has definitely taken care of the restaurant,... More
