I went here in August (table of 4, all adults), and the experience was a bit of a let-down to be honest. The staff were a bit rude and not very welcoming, you could tell they just wanted the money and for you to bugger-off home. The food was sub-standard, we had: Deluxe sashimi (too much for one person, pretty... More

I love Japanese food so when we accidentally drove past on our way to the Botanic Garden I knew where we will be having lunch and I wasnt disappointed! Authentic Japanese food, delicious, good price and plenty to choose from! My entire family loved it.

It was my first time to this restaurant and I was pleasantly (!) surprised at how realistically priced the menu was. The miso soup was the best I've had in a long time and the sushi was fresh and tasty. The next time I go, I'll try out the sushi train which was buzzing with activity, The only minor flaw... More

This is a small but very good restaurant near the city centre. I had the prawn teriyaki which was excellent and then some sashimi which was raw fish with a dipping sauce. It was all very tasty. A glass of wine was £3.45. Excellent place for good food at relatively low cost. The staff are all very friendly too.

Came here expecting a lovely sushi dishes, after I ordered 'chicken' I took my first bite, it tasted like jelly. I then had to run to the disabled toilet to spit it out as I thought I was going to puke. I would advise this for anyone and this restaurant has nothing on yo sushi!

I went to Sakura for the first time for lunch today. It is a lovely decorated place with relaxing atmosphere. The sushi is delicious and great value. My advice is don't go here if you're really hungry as the sushi isn't that filling, it's more for a light lunch or dinner. I can't wait until I return.

We decided this restaurant because of the good reviews, but the food is average, quite expensive and the service is not the best. The sushi looked nice but once in your mouth you could literally feel all the flavours of the ocean, terrible... I am not sure why the reviews are so great, I would say it is an average-low... More

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and have never had a bad meal. The tempura maki duck rolls are definitely worth a try.
