Generous chunks of meat in the lamb rogan josh. Nicely butterflied prawns in the prawn curry, again decent quantity. Both dishes maybe suffered from slightly too much sauce. Bombay potatoes well presented. Poppadoms provided free of charge, as was the onion chutney.

At great Indian restaurants the lamb is usually tender and succulent. While the rest of our meal at Raj delighted, the lamb sadly was rather tough. This affected the meat on our starter plate and the main curry course but chicken was especially moist and tender. Given the compliments from trusted friends about Raj, we have to assume an unusual... More

The madras was very strange tasting. Was nice enough, but it was very far from tasting like a madras! Tasted very 'peppery.' Service wasn't great. The wife's meal was very oily and under seasoned. All in all, there are better out there in. Belfast for sure. I am surprised that this place ranks so highly on TripAdvisor. Maybe I visited... More

Popped in on Friday 1st August around 8pm on off chance there was an available table for two. Didn't have to wait long. Shared a veg pakora as a starter along with the complimentary two Poppadoms and dips. Pakora slightly spiced and fresh. For mains I had the Rozalla and the lady had the Rogan Josh. Both of us had... Decided to try the Raj instead of our usual Indian. What a disappointing experience. Food was mediocre. Wine was practically boiling unlike the waiter service which was ice cold. Could hardly have been made to feel more unwelcome. Rubbish. Won't be back.

Went out for a meal with my friend. Large portions and very flavorsome foods! I went for the Chicken Tikka Masala and my friend went for Chicken Korma. The staff are very pleasant! Will definitely be back!

First visit here and wont be the last. Food was excellent, portion sizes good. had mixed platter to share..best ever, we were a party of four and we all ordered a different main course, not one complaint the food was tasty and beautifully presented. staff were both pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. very impressed will definitely be back.
