Best Meal Ever

We were in Belfast for Belsonic and booked Tedfords as we had heard good reports about the food. We both had chowder for starters , daube of beef for main course and desserts from the pre theatre menu (£24 per person). The chowder was delicious and the daube of beef was absolutely amazing. A return visit, after about 30 years! There was no real reason for the delay, bearing in mind it was really good the last time, other than there are many other places to eat out and the location of the restaurant is not that convenient to us. However, we visited on our anniversary and it was excellent. Looked totally different... More

Took my partner for her birthday dinner. The waiting staff were brilliant, so attentive and even when we were the last ones there we didn't feel rushed. The food was superb, I had the pork belly starter and the flavours were phenomenal. I had already picked my main reading it online and picked the curried monkfish, stunning, the chicken spring... Enjoyed every second we were here on a vibrant Friday evening, service was the best I've ever experienced throughout Belfast, and food was perfect. Not something seen very often in these parts. We could have been sitting in a restaurant in Times Square! The curried roast monkfish was recommended by our extremely friendly waitress, and I couldn't have picked a... More

Myself and girlfriend went here on a Friday night and left disappointed! We both had cocktails which were great on arrival and the Pork and Chowder starters were great. Although there was a large table of maybe 16 in the restaurant which made having a conversation pretty difficult! When ordering from the waiting staff they were very rushed, at one... More

There is no shortage of places in belfast that do big hearty dinners extremely well.. but Tedfords goes a wee bit outside the box, adds a special flair to everything, especially desserts. Everything on the plate is deliberate and something to investigate, always nice surprises. Just very good cheffing. Service is one of the friendliest in the town as well.

For those who do not know, this is the new second Tedfords restaurant in Belfast, situated just a stone's throw from the Waterfront. The welcome was warm and personal. A cocktail at the bar before sitting down. The ambience is modern and a little "chatter noisy" but there is so much space between tables that your experience will be private... More
