Special meal with friends

Tried the Eipic part of Deanes with friends for first time. Excellent tasting menu. We all skipped one course and still felt full. Food prices reasonable considering the high quality but wine is pricey. Will definitely go again

It's my second outing and the chef burnt the steak half of my surf and turf. The grill was obviously too hot, as the meet was nice and rare behind the charcoal epidermis. But the lobster was beyond amazing. I think I might try the fish restaurant next time thinking about. Anyway service friendly and attentive, if chef had just... More

We visited here for dinner before a concert. Restaurant is nicely laid out but extremely noisy when busy which made it difficult to hear the waitress and also speak among our group. The service seemed a bit all over the place initially with a waitress trying to take an order without us seeing a menu but eventually we got there.... More

Dined here last night with a party of six. 1st time at the meat locker having been a little underwhelmed by Deane's at Queens in the past. Understandably the menu has to cater for a range of tastes but my advice is to treat this as a classic steak house in the vein of Hawksmoor or the Grillshack in London.... More

Went to the meat locker with a friend, we had never been happened to be in belfast but had made a booking prior to arrival. The interior is very crisp and the chandelier in the stair well at toilets is Huge! But it is called "the meat locker" however from the menu the starters was nearly all fish and I... More

Went to try £10 lunch. Won't go again. One of us had to return braised beef a lot of mushrooms difficulty in finding beef. Toulouse Sausage salad was also a let down Waiter advised champ to go with it. Cost of small portion was £4 We also had 10% service charge added. So disappointing

I liked the decor apart from the crystal chandeliers which seemed to me incongruous. Starters were decidedly mixed. My foie gras was brilliant. My partner's mozzarella and tomato was awful. Three tiny little balls of buffalo mozzarella for the price was a total rip off. Buffalo Mozzarella isn't gold dust Mr. Deane, one can even buy it in Marks and... More

Went for our wedding anniversay. Lovely atmosphere even though tuesday can be quiet night. Daughter and I had pre theatre menu. Fois gras followed by rump steak. Both were excellent. Wife had surf and turf half lobster and rumpsteak. Both were excellent. The scallops for starter were the best we have had for a long time. Highly recommended. Service also... More
