Fabulous surroundings for coffee, brunch, lunch etc

A real treat as the restaurant is at the back of a beautiful interior design shop within a church. Decor is beautiful as is the very expensive crockery! We had coffee and lovely hot scones. Brunch looked great & it's definitely a great place for lunch. It's relatively small & intimate

Food fantastic table in great spot. Wine waiter needs a lot of improvement he dumped a bottle belonging to another table in our wine bucket he made a lot of noise doing so. Finally he decided to get a second bucket and placed it next to the other table he was serving. Frankly for the money the night should have... More

This was the third time we've been to Saphyre - we'd already been twice for lunch and our evening meal did not disappoint. Food was superb as usual and we tried their own Portuguese wine which went down a treat! The staff in here are excellent - very professional but also very accommodating and friendly which don't always go together.... More

We found this on Trip Advisor, because we certainly would not have found it otherwise as it is tucked behind a decommissioned church. We had a long, boozy lunch here to celebrate a birthday. The food is lovely - I recommend the Ulster Fry as a starter, not what you would expect, but full of flavour. The steak main course... More

My wife and I had lunch in Saphyre on Friday 13th March 2015. Lovely ambience, and we had a table for 2 at the window. service impeccable, not rushed we decided to have A la carte, rather than the fixed price lunch I had a starter - mini ulster fry - delightfully light, explosions of taste croutons of Soda bread,... Luvly restaurant excellent service just be wary of the not so complimentary bread and water is also expensive food is overly priced but beautifully presented i had ordered lemon sole with fresh mussels on top which was a picture but waiter wrecked the plate by pushing mussels to the side and dissecting the sole to remove back bone!!! Beautiful but... More

This is by far our favourite restaurant in Belfast. Had our first anniversary meal here and all we can say is WOW. The food is amazing, the cocktails beautiful, the decor outstanding and the staff as knowledgeable and friendly as you could ever hope for. This place is indeed the perfect gem and we look forward to spending many happy... More

My wife and I booked here for a meal on Valentine's night and had the 8 course tasting menu with wine paring. The staff were friendly and attentive and provided great knowledge of the courses as they were brought to the table. The food was well presented equally matched by the flavours and with little hints of the theatric with... More

Saphyre is a very different restaurant. It is ornate and intriguing. The walk up the side of this former church draws you in. You are welcomed and made to feel its a special place. We had excellent beef and succulent monkfish. The duck fat chips are terribly tasty! All well presented and with attentive service. Hard to fault, except perhaps... More

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here, a place for ladies who lunch. Atmosphere is a bit special, service attentive and food very good. Felt the lunch deal was reasonable and wine very good.
