As my wife is Coeliac and this was a fairly high rated restaurant, we gave it a go. I was impressed by the regular fish and chips and my wife really enjoyed the gluten free (gluten free vinegar and other items are also available). Portions are quite large and chips tasted great. Visited again with both wife and mother-in-law and... More

Was rather underwhelmed with this place this lunchtime! I thought I would be mightily impressed, given the glowing reviews on here. Chips were rather bland-tasting and very greasy, too ! I much rather prefer The Bethany which is just up the road a bit, I must admit...

By far the best gluten free fish and chips I've ever had. The breading was light and crispy, just like regular breading. Chips were very good. Portions were huge. My only issue was that they didn't have mushy peas (I prefer over regular peas).

Been going to JD's from I was no age but the last number of years I havent been the frequent visitor I used to be. But I have recently started going back as my g/f is ceoliac. Staff are still brilliant but with the added bonus of them actually knowing their stuff when it comes to gluten free cooking. Couldnt... More

Have been coming here for about the last year or so as my girlfriend is gluten intolerant. Food is usually delicious and staff are very helpful and friendly. However our last visit last week we noticed the batter had changed. It was very hard, not crispy and it's usual standard. Apart from that was delicious and will be back again... More

use here regularly as i live nearby but on several occasions they have got our order wrong or things have been missing, have said to them multiple times about it, also they seem to open and close whenever they feel like it no set times? other than that food is lovely.

This is a fish and chip shop. Surprisingly it is also gluten free, which makes no difference to those of you who can eat gluten (as it taste the same) but a world of difference to those who cannot. It serves excellent fish and chips. The portions are huge. The batter is thin and crispy on the fish. The chips... More

my parents and myself love this wee place, my mum is a coealic which means she can only eat gluten free food, in Belfast there is hardly any place caters for her needs but this place does, the food is great and portions are big. would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody. give it a go you wont be disappointed.

This place is a coealics heaven! Plenty to choose from on the gluten free menu and the owner give me every confidence that he actually understood what gluten free is unlike other unnamed chippys who still ask me would I like a normal bap with my meal. The staff and service was top notch, will defo be back here.
