Cheap and cheerful!

My friends and I had dinner here before going to the theatre, the 2 course meal deal is very reasonable. We all had the mackerel to start and it was absolutely delcious! For mains I had the fish goujons and these were lovely too. Very reasonably priced and the BYO is definitely a bonus! Great... read more

Had lunch on Saturday, 2 course with wine £12.95 I was very good, very high standard and beautifully presented. pizza with goats cheese for starters, my sister in law had the burger with pulled bbq pork, I had fish and chips with mushy peas. Fish was perfectly cooked and very fresh such a treat. Btw the coffee is great. You'd nearly... More

My hubby and I had our anniversary dinner last month. It was at the height of the Christmas dinner season. We got a lovely table near the counter. The service was brilliant. We were regularly topped up with drinks (byo) and asked if everything was okay. We both enjoyed our starters and main course. Hubby had the steak which was... More

I had not eaten here before so thought I would give it a try and it was a toss up between the Chicken ceasar salad for lunch or the venison stew with winter veg. The girl serving me recommended the venison so I went with that and was not disappointed - far from it. I am not a skinny lad... More

In a square of numerous quality restaurants this bistro type restaurant certainly has its work cut out. A limited Xmas lunch menu did not disappoint. Expertly cooked venison stew was hearty, tasty and of excellent quality. A nice vibe and good cooking makes this cathedral quarter eatery the perfect place to sample good value, great quality traditional cooking.

Visited 18/12/14. Restaurant wasn't busy at 6.00pm but there was a party of approx 12 seated before us. Starter lovely - chicken liver parfait, main turkey and gammon - disappointing as while the turkey was tough it was presented mass functional style, carrots/parsnips cremated and I had asked for ordinary gravy rather than cranberry gravy but was served cranberry gravy... Attended last weekend, 12/12/14. To say the least, it was buzzing with everyone in high spirits, maybe it was the BYO concept. Staff vey busy but still very plesant, the food was excellent from a varied menue to suit all and the sweets even better. Best to go on not so busy night, if you can get one Drawbacks are... More

I organised my daughter's 21 Birthday for 6.00pm, and agreed to leave by 8.00pm The restaurant set up the able in advance with baloons, which we provided. We also delivered, in advance, wine and beer (corkage to be charged) and a birthday cake. The staff arranged the table and delivered our food to the table as expected. The cake was... More

After a previous good experience this time it was very poor. Our table of table were not greeted at the door so we just sat at a table! The room was full...over floor had to ask people from other tables to move so we could get out to the toilet. Staff couldnt place food on the table and had to... More

Having visited many of the Restaurants, Cafes and Bars that Belfast has to offer I was surprised I handn't heard of Chopin. A work college recommended I try Chopin for lunch and so I did. The decor is warm and inviting while the staff are accommodating and welcoming. The menu is diverse and offers some delightful takes on modern cuisine.... More
