I visited Zen in the cathedral quarter expecting a nice meal, having been to the sister restaurant in Adelaide Rd I had an expectation of what to expect. Well what a surprise, superb location, great atmosphere and the food and service were unbelievably good. Belfast's cathedral quarter is a fabulous night out... Great venues and lively atmosphere... We'll worth a... More

Having eaten here in the evening and lunch I can give my opinion that the team here put on a good show each time. Pleasant hospitality and tasty meals. Nice presentation of staff n dishes with clean tableware and authentic teas set the tone for some modern twists on the old classics. Thailand gets the nod on some dishes. Multi... More

The restaurant is in a nice location and is very modern, attractive inside. It is clearly very popular and was crowded the night we had dinner. We had reservations and were seated right away. However, the tables are very close to each other and we wound up hearing the conversation of the couple next to us (they were friendly and we... More

The staff here are so unfriendly and unhelpful. On arrival we tried to order a drink at the bar and were told by the head waitress (I'm assuming she was anyway) that we couldn't and that drink orders were only being taken at the table. This means everyone at the table gives their drink order to the waiter and then... More

The food was just great .... We shared some crispy duck to start followed by teriyaki beef and sweet chilli chicken .... All very tasty, cleanly cooked and nicely presented. We would have loved bowls rather than dishes to put the food into .... Still being relative chopstick novices, bowls are easier to handle, but to be clear we still... More

Went on Saturday night and I had one of the set meals and better half picked from the starters. I had a cocktail teapot and as always like any of the cocktails here they are lip smacking super. The food was lovely as usual and if I could move in I would and adopt all the young staff. Give this... More

This place is my favourite in Belfast and I eat out all the time. The service is excellent and the food is magnificent from the juicy duck to the chicken to the stunning sole fish. It is just amazing, all of the food starters and mains. The lunch special menu is so cheap for the standard of the food. Would... More

Excellent quick service, amazing meal and lovely surroundings. I would recommend the Satay Chicken. The only negative is the price, a bit expensive!
