This was the second time I had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Este. The staff were attentive without being pushy and the menu whilst quirky, and with too much choice (for someone that has a problem making a quick decision) is fantastic and imaginative. For starter I had squid with an Asian salad which melted in the mouth, the... More

My husband & I went to bistro este last Saturday night for a meal. The menu is fantastic, unusual and lives up to expectations! I had scallops with spicy pulled pork, roast cod with white wine cream & veg, individual lemon meringue pie & a calypso coffee. My husband had game terrine, truffle hotdog in a brioche bun with fries... More

Nice little restaurant in Ballyhackamore - the home of nice eateries! Quirky menu, lovely food and great service. The meal I felt was very reasonably priced. It's bring your own too. Always a winner! And there is an offies across the road.

Attended for a friends birthday, staff were very accommodating to our last minute booking. Although seating arrangements were a little cramped and quite close to neighbouring tables. The menu was a little pretentious, which resulted in several of our party having to google certain words to understand what we were eating. We had ordered a selection of starters between the... More

Met my friend here at 8.30pm. The welcome was warm, the service attentive. The two courses we had were tasty and well presented, although the fish main course was raw and cold first time round, this was replaced, and I ate alone as my friend had finished. The room was too bright and lacked any atmosphere. It got worse, as... More

Visited Bistro Este again last night (Saturday) and had another fantastic meal. On arrival we were immediately greeted and shown to our table. As my wife is currently in a wheel chair we had asked in advance for a table which would be able to accomodate her comfortably, this was all ready on arrival and the staff helped us get... More

A great spot for breakfast with the girls. Delicious and obviously freshly made pancakes with bacon and maple syrup went down a treat with us all. Bacon could be a bit crispier but it was clearly high quality and prepared with care. Lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Coffee is also great and overall a great experience.

First time here this evening. Friendly welcome, polite and courteous staff. Went for the early-bird menu, myself having a beautiful curry and my friend having beer battered fish and chips. Both delicious and well presented, this place has portion-size down to a tee. Followed by citrus meringue and chocolate pot with honeycomb...best desert I've had in a long time. Surrounding... More

Five of us out for a meal last night, all had an excellent meal. The menu is tailored for fish lovers but there is pleanty of choice for meat and veggie options. Nice buzz about the place, which was full, so just as well we had booked. Staff were very cheerie and well informed about the dishes on the menu.... More
