My wife and I had a delicious meal on Saturday night in this charming restaurant. First we were met at the door by Benny a delightfully charming man. He showed us to our table chatting and welcoming us all the way. We were then given Prawn Crackers while we browsed the menu. We ordered the dim sum and chillie salted... More

Although I have eaten out a lot in Belfast, I have to say that The Joy Inn has to be my favourite place to eat. I always get the steamed scallops with garlic and it tastes exactly the same every time. The service is excellent and always the same, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants both... More

I discovered this Chinese restaurant by chance back in 2011 when deciding where to have dinner on my hen night and ever since, this is the only Chinese restaurant I go to. Every time my husband and I eat here, we leave with a full tummy and impressed with the service. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly, nothing... More

The spacious, elegant setting delighted when we climbed the single flight of stairs. The food was very good with substantial portions. Hot and sour soup, sizzling plate and squid dishes were nicely presented and delicious. Our only quibble is the need to order rice separately with a la carte menu.

We were staying in the ETAP Hotel and passed this restaurant. It was only 4.30 pm and was delighted to find it open. We were seated to a lovely table. We ordered starter and main course. Very reasonable price - £39.75 for the two of us. Would recommend! Loved the Pork Chow Mein.

I was in need of dinner inspiration on a solo night in Belfast and came across Joy. The Tripadvisor review they had listed outside convinced me to go in and I wasn't disappointed. The menu had a great selection with a mixture of classics and a few more unusual items and the service was quick and efficient. Nice seating area,... More

In truth I was expecting an authentic meal based on the tripadvisor reviews and was excited to go. It was a little disappointing, the food was ok, the staff were ok, if a little unfriendly but I really wanted some real chinese food rather than take away food that I could get anywhere. I had the beef curry, which was... More

The food was excellent: reasonably priced, good portions and tasty. The waitstaff were hit-or-miss as to service; my friend had to go up and ask for her bill.
