Had a crab brûlée as a starter, fantastic.

In Belfast on business with 2 colleagues, went without an appointment, we were shown to a table quickly and efficiently. We all had 2 courses with drinks, total £84.00. Excellent food, well cooked and well presented. We will be back and would recommend.

Went with friends for a birthday. Starters of chicken salad- the chicken was grey. Crab starter also was inedible and sent back. Main courses- salmon seemed raw in the middle and the portion sizes were too small. The chips looked like they'd been lying around for a while as they were dried up. Complained about the food and one starter... More

I had high hopes for this restaurant as it was recommended to me by a colleague but i'm afraid it didn't live up to my expectations. The starter was tasty enough as was the main course but the service was dreadful and we were billed for two glasses of wine we didn't have. I also think we were overcharged for coffee,£2.90... More

Visited Hendogs (upstairs) with a large group on a Saturday night and got our food from the party menu. There was a limited choice but it was a special offer of main course and dessert for £15 + £1.50 service charge. We had a choice of 4 mains and 2 desserts. My chicken and chorizo in a long bread roll... More

We ate upstairs in the more informal HenDogs. The menu was slightly limited to Hot Dogs and a few other Main Courses, but that doesnt do justice to what appeared on the table. Various types of sausage with all differing dressings served in an army ration tin. We also had some of the main dishes whilst the portions werent overly... More

Called in with some colleagues for Thursday lunch. Not many people about. Ordered the fish and chips to be told that it wasn't a whole piece of fish but battered fish fingers. Changed my mind and ordered the lamb meatballs, to be told they weren't lamb, they were beef, so I gave up and ordered a ribeye steak instead, which... More

Excellent service from our waitress Roisin. She was really polite, funny and pleasant. Would definitely recommend this service especially from a waitress like her. Deirbhile and Rachel

The Potted Hen came recommended by 2 of my friends from Belfast. One of them joined us for dinner here. She needed to get home out of town so we booked early - 730pm. The place was almost 100% empty and who I now think was skeleton bar / expediting staff, as opposed to proper service staff (I'll come back... More

I have frequented here a few times but only because my friend likes the joint. I have had 1 bad experience here and several good hence the ave review. Seems to be a busy wee spot central to plenty of bars etc after dinner or theatre before. Just a thought don't be a restaurant sheep and use plates! Personally hate... More

lovely setting in the cathedral quarter. the food was very good and we all enjoyed our meal-bistro type,,- the tables felt a little cramped so make sure you choose your table with care.good wine, friendly efficient service. they have 2 evening sittings- one early, one late so you have that gotta move on feeling if you are at the first!...
