I visited here for our Xmas work Do on Saturday past and felt it was a huge let down. Our meal cost a staggering £35 for a starter, steak main & dessert. The soup that I had for starter was nice, although there was very little of it. It was served with a couple of rather thinly sliced pieces of... More

Had dinner in the Potted Hen last weekend and it was absolutely delicious - I would recommend the Ham Terrine for Starters, the Venison for mains and the poached pears for dessert. Only fault - wine was very expensive but probably same in all top restaurants in Belfast - overall pleasant experience.

We headed out on Sunday looking to get some good pub grub but ended up here as Belfast was packed. We went upstairs where they have a hot dog menu. Its certainly a bit different but delicious all the same and the cocktails definately helped, will def be back.

We came in on a Sunday around 6pm without booking. One of our party had experienced slow service here before so was a little reluctant but prepared to give it another chance. The servers were slow to spot us at the door and seat us but were clearly busy and apologised for keeping us waiting. After that , I have... More

Food was beautiful. The main thing that stuck out was the professionalism of the staff. Having a child who is very plain eater and doesn't settle we'll in crowded places they where in my mind the best. Made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Loved the food, and staff were nice. Not so easy to get a booking though these day, and I can see why.

Excellent value and lively atmosphere. Excellent service with great menu choice. Need to book but can also eat upstairs without booking. Will definitely go back.

We had wanted to visit the Potted Hen for some time but my reluctance to try untested places due to being a coeliac had held me back until now. I shouldn't have worried. The waitress was right up to speed on my needs and said that most of the early evening menu could be adapted to suit. We both had... More

I popped in to Hendogs at Potted Hen last night with my 2 daughters for a bite to eat. We had been at the Christmas Light Switch on at the Mac (which was fab, they loved it) We arrived at 6.30pm and were greeted by a very friendly waitress who let the girls have their choice of table (they opted... Fabulous restaurant. Relaxed dining. Great service and the choice of menu was different yet so flavoursome. Would definitely recommend. We were a group of 6 and the timeliness of the service was faultless.
