Cosy comfortable but more costly.

Enjoy popping in here for a quiet drink after an afternoons shopping. Seating comfy, staff very polished and precise. Cocktails delicious, not cheap and 10% service charge added automatically. I hate this, I always tip but dislike the action of taking it as though I either wasn't going to tip or... read more

Visited with my best friend for celebrate a special occasion. The staff went out of their way to make our time there special. We enjoyed listening to the live jazz whilst having a three course meal. The finishing touch was the fondue(s)...chocolate and salted caramel to share were amazing! Thank you!

Absolutely delicious, quality cocktails expertly mixed in a decadent bar with a luxurious atmosphere. Loved my visit here, one of my favourite bars of all time. Excellent customer service that matches the amazing drinks. Worth every penny.

Our family came here for lunch on New Years Eve to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday. A party of 15, including 6 kids below 10yrs. Staff were patient to the continuous requests made of them, food was good quality and fairly priced, though drink prices are on the dearer side (£6.60 for a bottle of McGrath's Ale inc the service... Just arrived in town a few days before new years. Looked around and managed to get the last table for the new years dinner. What a lucky find. Definitely not the dark old school jazz bar with torn seats. Instead we found one of our best fine dining experience. One that we judge to be the best night of our... More

Relaxing, fine dining with jazz from 9 o'clock every evening. It wasn't busy but could be at weekends.

I have been to Bert's several times and enjoy the ambience, surroundings and service. However, after a drink on Halloween evening, my friends and I were asked to leave as costumes werent allowed! We found this totally ludicrous, especially when the whole of Belfast were celebrating this holiday. It seems that Bert's want to stick with being in the dark... More

My partner and I have visited a couple of times as we love it. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing and the music is good. Service is good too which you would expect from the Merchant. Food is usually a high standard.
