Good atmosphere and live music

We paid a cover charge to have a drink and listen to the jazz set. Maybe a little mean as we were residents in the hotel at the time. Diners around us were clearly enjoying the food and the Jazz club experience.

We visit Bert's often- the jazz, cocktails, service & food are fantastic. Always a great atmosphere- definitely one of the best venues in Belfast.

On business in Belfast one of my local colleagues suggested Bert's. It's part of the Merchant Hotel in the Cathedral Quarter where you find quite a few restaurants. Split into two with a bar area on the left and restaurant on the right. A stage is at the far right for the live Jazz that appears to be on nightly.... More

Visited for Sunday brunch for a family birthday Despite being very busy (Brunch is great value & so very popular) we were given a great welcome, & staff were attentive checking on us while our party arrived after being delayed in traffic There was an option for Brunch or Lunch, and we all took brunch options except the gluten- free... The menu had a wide selection for a great price we chose from the deal which included wine. The music made for a good atmosphere, we were quite a large table and service was prompt and courteous, they recommended we had the deal with the wine as it was better value than how we had originally ordered. A good night... More

I had duck with blackberries, potato and asparagus, it was inspired! Perfect portion sizes, gorgeous puddings. The cheesecake was one of the best we have ever tasted and the sorbet was so yummy. The ambiance was great, lovely decor, the perfect setting for a jazzy meal. Finally, the live music rounded off the evening. Fantastic singer and band. Service was... More

Had an amazing meal here recently. The chateaubriand was tender and served complete with all the trimmings! Although the cocktails took a while they were worth the wait. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend.

While staying at the Merchant Hotel we had dinner one night at Bert's. We had a nice meal with very good service. The entertainment was a nice plus with an excellent singer.
