Great choice of food - Caters well for Vegetarians & vegans. Brilliant music - not too loud that you can't hear yourself talk!

The minute you walk into Berts you feel like you have been transported back in time to a sleek jazz bar. Rich red furnishings and careful mood lighting just make the atmosphere right. Staff are helpful and bar snacks are good and varied selection. I have been in when visiting on a couple of occasions and they had a live... More

Went there for our final night in Belfast. Fantastic end to the holiday. Great menu. Food cooked to perfection. We went for the set menu but we weren't limited for choice. Decent price. 3 courses for around 20 pounds. Waiters were attentive. Relaxing atmosphere. The Jazz band came on at 9pm which was a nice little surprise. Really added to... More

Beware anyone going to berts and choosing the sharing charcuterie platter. For 16 £ you get 2 small circles of ham , 4 small circles of salami a tablespoon of chutney, a scotch egg halved and four small pieces of bread.this has to be the biggest rip off in belfast, and dont forget the 10% service charge.going home now to... The hotel reminded us of The Waldorf Astoria in New York, old splendour. This is relaxed posh nosh at its best. They don't miss a beat on service or quality of food. We topped off our brunch with desserts, which were both beautifully balanced. And all the time non intrusive jazz was payed both live and recorded. Lovely stuff. If... More

We booked table for 8 at Bert's for 9pm for New Year's night in the expectation of Champagne, good food, good service, lots of Jazz and lots of noise. We were not disappointed in any of these. We asked to be placed as far from the band as possible, just for a slightly quieter environment, but that gambit was not... More

Excellent food in nice surroundings. Probably a bit pricy but this was New Years eve. Pity about the band bit of a let down due to the fact that we had to sit in the bar area while the 2nd sitting customers had there meal. We could not hear the band at all.would not be back to the jazz club..

we whent over again to stay at the holiday inn belfast for the new year, cannot say enough about the quality of food and helpful staff here. BUT the manager there, Mark, recomended the merchant for a decadante new years day lunch. We booked in advance, as they get so busy there. We were not disopointed . The service, silver... More
