Went here midweek service was great, complimentary prawn crackers & dips & fruit salad was a nice touch. Our starters were both good (dumplings & squid) good sized portions, the mains really let it down the chicken was chewy & tasted cheap there wasn't much flavour to our chicken with cashew nuts or the ginger & pineapple chicken, for two... Wonderful BYO cash only restaurant in Ormeau rd in Belfast. Good wine stores close by. Fish fabulous...fresh catch, prawns, soft crabs and squid my favourites. Delicious food.

There are so many Asian restaurants, a take-a--way on nearly every corner, but Macau is not one of those. It sets itself apart, not by an elaborately fancy dining room or tacky golden decor, but by its extraordinary cuisine and the pride they take in every dish they serve. The staff are friendly, making an effort to 'know' their regular... More

Don't pay any attention to any negative reviews....this place is class. Best Chinese dining experience in Belfast so far. The attention given by the staff to our party of four was exemplary. We shared three starters and three mains - all delicious. The starters we can recommend are the chilli salted prawns ( king prawns ), the fried squid and... More

Ordered the Monkfish Hotpot and Pac Choi, So disappointing, no taste from either, monkfish was slimmy and and the portion of Pac Choi was £7!! A total rip off!

I have been here a few times so thought I would give it a review. Just went on Friday night and the food was fantastic!! Service is second to none and the selection was fab. The place is always busy which is always a good sign and you would have to book most weekends. I will certainly be back again!

We went to this Chinese restaurant with friends at their recommendation and we weren't disappointed. The food was superb and staff were very attentive, but not over bearing. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Also this restaurant is bring your own wine. Can't wait to go back.

Service was ok. Tables very close together. No music, lacked atmosphere. Food arrived quite quickly, But was lacking any kind of flavouring extremely bland from the squid starter to the mains of curry and monkfish hotpot. Without a doubt the worst meal we have ever had anywhere. Would give it 0 but don't have the option
