My wife and I visited in June 2014 and were surprised how much food we got in our orders. The Guinness and beef pie was very large and my fish and chips came with mushy peas, bread and a pot of tea. Brilliant!

We met in Belfast for a family rendezvous breakfast in Brights in High St Belfast. First impressions: popular, slightly grubby & quite a few uncleared tables, the lighting was very dim especially nearer the open view kitchen. The table staff seemed to total 2 + 1 on till + 1 on coffee/drinks & 3 @ kitchen. The table staff appeared... More

Have been going to this place for years now and on each visit it never disappoints, I've always found the staff very attentive (as much as they can be when busy) and the food exceptionally good. it's good value for money as we'll especially if you go for the specials. there's a good selection to choose from in the menu.... 2 adults 2 kids, our server very ignorant, no manners. We thought the other staff might be better but their not very friendly at all. Food was good but I just wish staff were friendlier.

Went for breakfast - everything was deep fried including the soda bread and sausages. Eggs were hard and the food repeated on us for the rest of the day. The coffee was good but that was about it - if you want a good black coffee you can go to Macdonalds! Won't be returning.

I don't know what the problem was with the staff but they were all unfriendly and barely spoke. The food was far from award winning, sausages were terrible quality and the rest was merely average. I would definitely avoid!

I had the 'Yankee Fry'. Pancake was okay; thick American style, if a little stodgy. But the rest of it was disgusting. Cheap and nasty meat. Cooked from frozen potato waffles and hash browns. Over cooked eggs, under cooked tomato. All that accompanied by bland tea and insincere service. Avoid.

Food is good and nicely prepared, but the service is really poor. No hint of a smile or any affection shown. Really disinterested and unfriendly. Thankfully the food makes up for it... (a bit!)

Was really disappointed on my last visit to Brights. Nearly always go when in Belfast and have done for years but this time left disappointed. Waitress was quite grumpy, we had quite a wait for our drinks (other tables around us got theirs before us despite ordering afterwards). Portions were a bit small (for the prices) and everything tasted bland.... More

Food is great, Staff are friendly. Only thing its to small, the one on Castle street had more space. Although still great food and atmosphere.
