I ordered the steak sandwich which came with caramelised onions and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly. I then had the raspberry posset from the mini dessert selection it was delicious. The waitress was excellent and made great recommendations.

We go to Avoca every Saturday for breakfast. Have noticed over the last few weeks how the portion sizes are much smaller. Fruit bowl and porridge bowl were only half full and just two slices of bacon and one sausage for the breakfast bap. It's not cheap here so please do not shortchange your customers. Still tasty food just not... More

This is a great place to stop for bite to eat in a busy city. Food is fantastic, service quick and staff friendly.

Arranged to meet my wife for a quick bite, she had been before but this was my first and we both agreed before hand that we just wanted a scone and drink, she knew to go to Avoca! I can see how the place could be considered a nightmare for some due to the popularity and seating design (which was... More

We love Avoca. It's our local. Today was a disaster. We arrived at 3.05 and waited at the steps for 12 minutes (and it was not busy). When we were seated the four groups behind us in the queue all had there tables served and orders taken. We had been forgotten! We left. We will be back as we like... More

I am never disappointed by the delights Avoca has to offer. A taste sensation every time. I do believe I may be addicted to the savory muffins and chutney! I seriously cannot leave with out taking something home also!

What was meant to be a quick lunch, turned into a lovely fresh, healthy, quirky lunch! Up stairs in Avoca you can choose from 2 seated areas, a more 'formal' dining area and a more 'relaxed' area, Freshly made salads, wraps, pies, sandwiches, cakes etc YUMMY

Our extended family visited Avoca on 30th Dec at suggestion of my wife who despite over an hour's wait between courses 2 weeks before Xmas, wanted to give Avoca another chance. Big mistake. This was the xmas period yet Avoca chose to have only 2 staff on the self service, taking orders, microwaving scones & paninis, serving soup, taking payments. The... More
