Description: Set in an imposing historic building on Belfast’s central Victoria Street...
Set in an imposing historic building on Belfast’s central Victoria Street, Malmaison is an ultra contemporary, ultra chic, urban retreat. The team behind Malmaison know that hotels aren’t just a place for sleeping, which is why a lot of thought and bags of style have gone in to the resident Brasserie, a hot spot in its own right. With its modernist feel the dining room has hints of 30s deco in its attractive black and red interior. Curved booths and luxurious upholstery are joined by sleek wood and low lighting while service is friendly yet unobtrusive. Two menus – one the simple brasserie menu, the other home grown and local – celebrate the best of Ireland’s ingredients while offering food which appeals to all palates.

Delicious Overpriced Food

The entrees were good, but expect to pay at least $100 (USD) for a meal for two, with no complimentary desserts, coffee or drinks.

Ate here with my family at the beginning of August and was terribly disappointed. They had an offer of steak and lobster with a glass of prosecco for £40 which two of the adults ordered and burgers for the children, except one who had mussels. Well, stick a burger in front of a child and they're happy. When the adults... More

Really wanted to like this restaurant after having a fab stay in the hotel. We had a Sunday brunch on our check out day before flying home. The chefs table didn't have everything as advertised on it. Realised after you could ask for extra things which hubby did . Had to wait for soooo long to get them. When it... More

Hotel just oozes class. From the moment of check in until you leave the staff couldn't do more for us. It's a classy setting and the food was out of this world. It is quite pricey with coctails around £10 however it is truly worth the stay. I've been told Noel Gallagher stays here when he plays in belfast. If... More

Ate here with my partner for my birthday treat and was very very pleased. A good, albeit not extensive, menu with some superb food and very nice wine, in a very pleasant surroundings. Top marks to the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

Service: very good Found the food poor. Had the mal burger. If I had to guess I'd say the meat had been frozen. It was overcooked and a bit dry/bitty. Onion rings were swimming I oil. Maybe I should have had steak Staff took the onion rings off, as I didn't eat half the burger, which is okay? I guess?

We arrived at the hotel and were shown into a public area which was fine. The music was very loud and we were told by bar staff that it couldn't be turned don however a quiet word with the manager sorted it out! We had a champagne reception and canapés which were DELICIOUS!! We were then moved to a private... More
