Great ambience, food and staff

We were recommended this place by a friend and it did not disappoint! Really friendly staff who made you feel very welcome coupled with a great selection of food. I had the gnocchi which I was pleasantly surprised it was freshly made and tasted much lighter than usual gnocchi you get. Plus i... read more

Busy atmosphere friendly staff and good food. I have coeliacs disease and i hate fish so this makes eating out complicated. There was not a lot on the menu for coeliacs at all. I got the pork belly tapas which was awesome. I wish i could have got this as a main dish. I got chicken supreme as main with... More

The best gnocchi I have had. All dietary needs are catered for here with a vegetarian menu and lots of gluten free options. With so many dishes to choose from, I went with a small portion of the gnocchi and the goats cheese tapas. My wife went the mackerel and bread and dips. We dined there on a quiet Wed... More

We went to the barking dog for dinner before our show in the lyric theatre. Beautiful food and atmosphere. Definitely would go back.

We cane with Irish friends to Belfast for a few days and our BB keeper Mary recommended this place just up the road...it was fantastic! Decor was super chic with exposed brick and wooden tables but was totally comfortable. The drinks were great as were the tapas-pork belly bites and short rib to name a few. The burgers were well... We had an evening meal here whilst in Belfast for our wedding anniversary. It was within walking distance of our hotel and seemed to have good reviews so we decided to give it a try. We started with the Tapas 3 for £8 which were tasty but quite a small portion. We then had the The Barking Dog Beef Shin... More

When seated at this well lit, comfortable restaurant, you will receive a couple of menus. Bamboozling as they may first appear, the range of delicious and expertly prepared food is exactly what you'd expect from a top class place like The Barking Dog. Dietary needs are catered for with a gluten free and vegetarian menu, meals are divided so that... More

Have been to the barking dog a few times and have always found the food and service very good. Sadly they still haven't addressed an issue which I have with a number of eateries here. Noise! Was with the wife and some friends for her birthday and got seated beside a larger party of around 10 also celebrating a birthday.... More

This is a super cool, trendy little restaurant which was close to our hotel. We popped in for a late night bite, and were not disappointed. The tapas menu was interesting and varied. We enjoyed a few of their signature cocktails and had a lovely end to the night. Service was efficient, and although we closed the place down the... More

A friend was treating me to a dinner at the Barking Dog on a Monday. She very thoughtfully rang on the Saturday before to make sure that there would be food that I could eat, being sensitive to dairy and wheat. The woman on the phone said that would be no problem. "NO PROBLEM," she said. We arrived at the... More
