Myself & my boyfriend went for a meal here last Saturday. Food was really tasty & restaurant had nice decor & ambience. Tapas portions could be a little bigger. As well as pasta dishes. But overall, food was delicious. Good service too.

It is a nice restaurant and one to explore a bit further if you have the chance. I went there for a dinner following some brass band do at the Whitla Hall, as you do, and was nicely surprised about the location, its food and very good service. There are smaller dining room "spaces" that create very homely feel and... More

Title says it all - went with two friends, we ended up eating all the tapas (some more than once), had a couple of cocktails and a few beers / glasses of wine with espresso and dessert for everyone. Total damage was somewhere around £90 IIRC. Coming from New York I thought this was very reasonable but maybe it's pricey... More

Cute atmosphere, everything in the theme of dogs. The food was amazing! I had the sweet potato ravioli with chicken and I savored every delicious bite. I got a half portion but really a full portion is needed. Half a portion is more child size than just smaller sized. I also tasted my friends sweet potato and parmesan soup which... More

My wife took me here for my birthday and i thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. The menu is a nice blend of fun pub grub and wholesome, interesting dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive. No long waits for food or drinks. Nice range of drinks. Affordable prices and fun, edgy and romantic vibe in the restaurant. We... More

My partner and I have spent the last month travelling around northern and southern Ireland, last night whilst dining at The Barking Dog that it was the best meal we have had by far! The Tapas dishes are great to nibble on and my starter of ravioli was superb not to mention the most tender and best tasting rib eye... More

Second time for me and first for my two friends. We were in early as heading on to theatre. Service was prompt and pleasant. Food great and nicely presented. Only negative was that we were seated in bar area which has small tables. Not a major problem as we weren't planning to sit around for long but if going out... More

The food was very good! The tapas were quite poor though, but still very tasty! We shared a couple of desserts, both delicious. In particular, to our surprise, the "Espresso Crème Brulee, Hazelnut Shortbread" which had been recommended for one of the waiters, and we really loved it! Even my partner who doesn't like coffee!!
