Very tasty pub food

A bit loud and crowded but very friendly and good service. The food has spicy alternatives to regular pub food.

Wow. What an amazing setting for a quiet cocktail in sumptuous surroundings. Staff attentiveness was second to none and provided great advice/recommendations for cocktails. Only stayed for one drink but it was delicious and well made. Nibbles and fresh iced water provided free of charge and the ambience made the whole experience very enjoyable. Will definitely return 😀

Walking into this hotel is awe inspiring. The bar is gorgeous but I could have done without looking at all the naked ladies on the wall while I was having my drinks! It's worth a visit just to see the amazing interior design. It's not the cheapest place by any means but it's a lovely stop before you walk onto... More

Probably the best cocktail bar we've been to. Every one we had (& there were lots) were consistently great. Fantastic bar with roaring log fire and beautiful decoration. There was even a pool table in a private room. Cocktails quite pricey but well worth it.

An utterly beautiful room, great service and divine cocktails. Highly recommend the Rusty Nail, Whiskey Sour and Old-Fashioned. Seating is limited, and cannot be reserved, so best to arrive in plenty of time.

My husband and I made it a point to end our nights at the Bar at The Merchant before turning into our beautiful room. The drinks were wonderful, and there is a HUGE variety. The bar isn't huge, but it is so luxurious and inviting with a giant fire when you walk in the door. Perhaps the best part, however,... More

We recently stayed at the hotel for a birthday celebration and had a lovely evening in the cocktail bar. My husband and I began our evening with a drink here before dining in the restaurant. My husband had a glass of champagne and I had a delicious champagne cocktail. It had to be champagne as my husband was celebrating a... More

Drinks were not as good as previous visits. Had to ask THREE times were my partners drink was and then they had the cheek to charge us £2.50 service charge which was not on previous bills. Very poor for this establishment.

We were immediately seated and an extensive drinks menu - no book! - provided. Wide choice of drinks some known some a bit more oblique and wide range of cocktails. Bit pricey but worth the choice, surroundings and service.
