The Merchant Hotel Bar sets the standard for cocktails in a luxurious setting. They may not be the cheapest around but they were worth it; the cocktail 'menu' is actually a book, with an interesting history behind every cocktail they serve. They also offer a number of mixology alternatives for many of your favourite cocktails. We tried several such as... More

I would be a regular customer at the bar, I find it an absolutely perfect place to come and relax. The cocktail menu is extensive to say the least, the atmosphere is lovely, quite a quaint feel with a warm open front fire and attentive service. A must for couples or friends looking a quite drink in spectacular settings.

Conor mixes a good Ameretto sour. The fire crackled and kept us warm on a chilly day. Too busy to let us in pre dinner but managed to get in later Odd swans on the Christmas tree? !

Quick decision to have Sunday lunch in the Bar at The Merchant Hotel, Belfast. Well worth it! We were fortunate to get a table without making a reservation. The staff were very helpful getting us sorted comfortably. The ambience is of old style luxury, beautiful high ceiling and a heart-warming 'open fire'. The menu was varied and the quality of... The brambles are the best I have ever tasted. A champagne cocktail wasn't too bad either . Very classy clientele on a Saturday Evening

The staff at the bar were amazing and friendly. The service was great from everyone. For example I sat at the bar to have a cocktail and the bartenders were super nice and attentive, as well as if there was a passing waitress she would stop to fill up my water or see if I need anything, and sometimes even... A bit loud and crowded but very friendly and good service. The food has spicy alternatives to regular pub food.
