We ate here last night for my birthday and had a lovely meal. They only do one setting so you have your table all night - though they do book you in at half an hour slots so as not to overwhelm the kitchen so as we managed to get in as there was a cancellation and we had the... More

Went here for a birthday, and we were not disappointed. The menu was £35 a head for 3 courses, and the choice was very good. The food was spot on, as was the service. I had a pigeon to start and my wife had leek and potato soup (although don't expect the usual- it was much better). The place is... More

We keep asking ourselves why it's taken so long to eat at Slice, and we'll never know as we'll be regulars now. The only place we've experienced similar food is by a Michelin star chef! It was fab.... No complaints at all!

The first impression is that the restaurant is such a small size that intimacy is unavoidable. The "Welcome" was excellent and one felt, heart felt. With so few covers, there are but 14/16, the dining area is intimate. Not the scene for confidential conversation!! The lunch time menu was a choice of three for each of three courses, but I... More

Went on a Wednesday evening. We were lucky enough to have the chance to get to know the owners, whilst sitting in a very pleasant environment. Drinks were reasonably priced and it was nice to have local beers available too. The food was of a very high standard reflecting the training, experience and flair of the two talented young chefs.... Three of us have just enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch at Slice. Some diners may consider a choice of three starters, three main courses and three puddings limited but all were of excellent quality, presentation was good, flavours superb and service friendly and efficient. Price was a reasonable £21 for three courses plus £3 for coffee and petit fours with... More

Heard some good reviews about this place so decided to take the plunge and take my partner on her birthday, the restaurant is located in sketty and the shape of the building is like a slice, only small 20 covers but it was nice and roomy didn't feel cramped the menu was delivered And I went for the creme Brulee... What can I say? The food, wine, ambience and service was all perfect. I would go as far to say this was not one of the best meals I had but the best. Each course was explained and recommendations given. We had a vegetarian in our group who was well catered for and had ingredients explained to let her know... More

Our meal was expensive at £35 per head for 3 course set menu but it is 100% worth the visit. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted something special, and this was it! :) The menu wasn't something I would've picked personally (only because I am somewhat a fussy eater) but I went there with an open mind, thinking whatever... A super small restaurant - in a quirky pie shaped building seating only 20 covers. The two guys running it -Adam & ?Chris - take turns as chefs and running front of house. Great personal service, a friendly & welcoming style - excellent food, dining ambience and wine. Its not at all expensive - in fact they under price themselves... More
