9 of us visited the Bell on the 9th November for Sunday Lunch - our group was aged 4 to 68! After reading certain reviews we were a little concerned.....but we had nothing to worry about. The Bell has a warm and rustic appearance/atmosphere The food was very good, and the service was brilliant. The waitresses could not do enough... More

I have visited the bell on several occasions and always had a lovely experience. But the visit this week was a far cry from the previous times. We went to the bell on a Tuesday night to celebrate a friends birthday. Only 2 other tables were full in the restaurant so we didn't think there'd be too much of a... More

Went to the Bell for the first time in a couple of years - and what a surprise. I can honestly say it was the best Sunday Lunch I've had! Praise indeed from someone who is not only VERY fussy, but not even a great fan of roast dinners apart from my own. Staff are all extremely helpful, efficient and... More

The Bell at Caerleon is an old world pub come restaurant. The build itself stands at the end of ISSCA Road at the start of the USK way. I have always found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. For the Real Ale and cider drinkers they have an impressive array. The food is of a high standard and it... More

On Friday I took a visiting friend for a meal. The staff were very accomodating as we did not make a booking. My friend is a celiac and spoke with the chef who recommended meals on the menu which were suitable - one being the pork belly. We both decided to have this and I must say that it was... More

One of the best locals in the area if not the county with restaurant standard food, real ale and ciders and live music at the weekends. Friendly and historical with bags of charm, pub festivals ( real ale and cider) friendly locals and nice garden.

The Bell is a great pub; a nice cross between a traditional pub and modern gastro pub. It had a good menu and the food was well cooked. The atmosphere was lovely, cosy and warm with that traditional touch. The waitress was warm and attentive, the food and desserts really good, so good that we had all three courses (and... More
