We went to The Bell on a Saturday night - husband and family. We reserved a table a few nights before as there were 9 of us in the party and we had no problems reserving. We ate on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. Service was very good. We decided to share starters of breads with dipping... More

I recently visited 'The Bell' on an evening out with several friends. The ambience of the pub was charming, and the selection of lagers, ales and ciders was superb, especially the long list of award winning and delicious ciders. My starter of 'Tiger Prawns' was fantastic, and I can't recommend the Chilli Jam enough, in fact I would go as... More

My husband and I have eaten at The Bell many, many times and always enjoyed the fantastic food and service. That is until last night! Firstly, I had problems in booking a table for my husband’s birthday as no-one seems to answer the phone. I tried many times and eventually left a voicemail. No-one called me back so I sent... More

Absolutely thrilled with my experience of The Bell! The staff are SO friendly and inviting and will go that extra mile for you! The food is delicious and the best and most important part of 'going somewhere new' is the customer service and for me it was OUTSTANDING! We were invited and greeted with a lovely smile from the staff... More

Staying at the bed and breakfast down the road. This delightful little pub came highly recommended, and so did the scotch egg to start followed by the fish as chips; every bite was delicious. Would recommend booking as it was busy even for a week night. Service was great, the staff are all really nice.

How I wish I had read the recent reviews of this pub before going there to celebrate my sons graduation. We booked a table for 18.15 and were still waiting for our meal at 17.40 no explanation or apology was given by staff, it seemed there was only one person serving and as the majority of the tables had reservations... I had read mixed reviews about The Bell but thought I should try it for myself. I booked Saturday lunch as a treat for 7 girls for a catch up. The staff were welcoming but not overly friendly. The menus were on paper but we're quite grubby and stained. There were items on the menu that had sold out which... More

Visited on the 31st for Sunday lunch at 2:30 table 6. This is the 7th time I've visited and myself and my guests have consumed over 20 plus great meals and a good selection of wines and ciders over several months.I hope that they have read all the previous great comments that I have left on the table and can... The staff are really friendly and welcoming, a really warm good old fashioned Welsh pub atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. They're accommodating of all types of people from those after a bit of a knees up to those after a quiet romantic or family meal. Honestly can't do enough for you and take genuine interest in... I have visited this pub countless times over the years and always had great food until tonight. So I thought I'd pop onto here to share my experience only to find the same issues as other customers. Same issues of bad service, taking ages to get food, presentation of food (well lack of), lamb so tough you can't cut it,... More
