Sunday Lunch

I went for a Sunday lunch with a work colleague. We had 3 courses for £18.95 per person. The food was really full of flavour, & I had crème brulee which was to die for. Very enjoyable.

We went here for a pre-wedding dinner. I was not expecting much but it was really very good. Basically a country pub, but the food was much better than that. I have scallops as a starter (excellent) and sea food pasta as a main. Service excellent and very friendly. Close to Newport and Cardiff. A very pleasant surprise and I... More

Great wine list, lovely bottle of wine served cold with ice bucket handy. Hubby had beer served in correct glass. Menu was interesting and inspirational. Waiter and waitress knowledgeably and polite. Excellent food and all four of us really enjoyed ourselves. Great night had by all, excellent, can't wait to return. Well done team at The Bell.

Myself and a visiting friend had an evening meal in The Bell on Friday 17th April. I like to go to The Bell to eat and go for a drink whenever I can and my visiting friend likes The Bell too. It was an opportunistic visit which the waiting staff accomodated us without fuss and we ordered promptly. The menu... More

Visited the Bell on Good Friday. Had booked the table in advance for 4 adults at 13:45. When we arrived the Bell was busy and it took a while to be shown to our table. Once at the table we reviewed the menus but couldn't choose because we weren't informed what the soup or pie of the day were. Tried... More

Went for food at this restaurant over Half Term week before Easter and as we were staying at The Celtic Manor, were recommended to try The Bell for a change of scene. We went to a lot of different places, not wanting to confine ourselves to our hotel and although each venue was lovely, this was most certainly the best... More

Coming home to Wales for birthday is always special but complete with a meal at the Bell. Our waitress Tiff was extremely helpful and friendly. While all previous visits we have had excellent food, this time was exceptional. I am not sure if improvement is possible. Highly recommended!
