Good pub

The pub is really nice inside and has a good atmosphere, it also has a lovely beer garden which is nice in the summer. The food is really good, especially their gourmet burger. They also offer a good selection of ales for the drinkers among us.

First visit to the Bell Inn and it deserves its reputation for good food. Went there for lunch on 2nd July and my wife and I had a really great meal, excellent service from the two girls. We were so impressed that we booked a table for our wedding anniversary. My wife had flat iron steak which was cooked to... More

I took my partner here for our first anniversary. From the start the staff were helpful and it came across as a nice pub. There was quite an array of beers to choose from. Only trouble was the menu and time it took for the food. I appreciate it was all cooked fresh but an hour for a starter that could... More

Called on Sunday, not booked, and had a short wait for a table. Food was excellent, but felt that veg should not be priced separately. A bit "nouveau" but the lamb was tender, overall well worth a visit

We have been had food at the Bell over a dew years and never had an complaints to make. The Sunday, we were very disappointed, firstly the wrong meals were brought to the table and secondly the one large roast potato placed with the meal was inedible and not enough vegetables for three people. When we were asked if everything... More

Visited here the evening of 20th June 2015 to celebrate my Mother In Laws Birthday. We were welcomed by friendly staff who remained professional and friendly throughout the time we were there. The food was delicious and everyone has something different. The only 2 slight defaults were the Med/Rare Steak was more Med/Well and the waiting time for desserts was... More

We have been to the bell a number of times as its where we had our first date and we like to return to indulge in some nostalgia. We booked late on a saturday and so had to make do with an 830pm table. It seems that the place has now gone rather downhill. The service was extremely slow and... More

Visited as part of our trip to Celtic Manor, this is our 5th visit and it was the best ever! The food was absolutely amazing, the service from our young waitress (Charlie) was second to none, very friendly but very professional! Will definitely return next time we are in the area, recommend to anybody!
