Very good!

We visit here maybe twice a year as we live pretty local. Always happy, jovial staff and the food always fresh and tastey. We had the Seabass baked in sea salt washed down with a bottle of Pino Grigio which was very good indeed. The scallops are also a personal favourite :)

Was very surprised that lunchtime menu was really evening meals. For the price was extremely disappointed that no veg other than potatoes or chips was included in the price. Others in party enjoyed their steaks and chicken. Summer fruit pudding was mainly bread. Rating really between average and very good mainly due to lack of veg and disappointing summer fruit... More

Went here last night with my lovely family for a big celebration meal and it was brilliant. A great selection of meats and seafood on display so you can choose your own cut, served with a big choice of vegetables and salads. A great wine list, lovely staff and the pub is good too for a pint before dinner. Or... More

Visited the restaurant for dinner last Saturday and returned again for lunch on Sunday. Always a warm welcome from Steve and his team. The food is always of good quality and the set menus represent value for money. Always a good selection of fish and meat and roasts available on Sunday. The atmosphere is pleasant and it's best to book... More

This is the perfect restaurant for an evening meal out celebrating an occasion! The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. I always opt for the crayfish cocktail for starter and the monkfish for main.

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary meal and we were not disappointed. The food was cooked beautifully and we were not kept waiting very long. The portion sizes are just right. The service from the staff was impeccable and as soon as we were done with our plates etc they were whisked away and fresh cutlery... More

Went here recently for Sunday lunch but it was really nothing special. In fact I've had a hundred times better for a fraction of the money. As I said, I've only been for Sunday lunch so, therefore, cannot comment on the rest of the cuisine. Found it quite dark inside with no real atmosphere.

Visit this restaurant quite often over the years and has been consistently good. Always have the fish which is delicious every time. You have a choice of potatoes, chips boiled or jacket. The salad bar, where you help yourself, is full of different salads which I love.. The place is always very busy and the service very good. Highly recommend.
