A treat - a meal with close family (including the latest grandchild) - followed by our usual Friday evening drink with friends in the pool room. Our food was delicious, and served with care and good humour, as usual. Rack of lamb, steak pie, fish and chips, and apricot chicken left just enough room for us to enjoy desserts, too... More

Never tried this pub and organised a trip there. Booked a table and were seated down the Cellar area. It was2as cosy and we could have a chat and a laugh. We all had sunday lunch but we had starters first. The sunday lunch was cooked to perfection. The staff there were friendly and they made some recommendations about the... More

One of the best Sunday lunches in Cardiff, all food cooked to order. Great location on the out skirts of Cardiff, been twice and the food did not disappoint. Make sure you book as it can get fully booked up.

Lovely old pub, great choice of real ale, very helpful and welcoming staff, best meal we've had in a pub for quite some time: the rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and the hake was excellent! Will definately come again. Alan and Jude

A party of 5 of us dined here on the evening of 14th August & it was excellent. We received a warm welcome & there was a lovely atmosphere. On being seated we were served olives & fresh bread. There was plenty of choice on the menu & also a lot of choice on the specials board. We all had... More

3 of us ate at this pub on August 13 and what a great place to go for an evening out. Had some fantastic real ales from a pretty impressive choice in a lovely bar area, then went into the restaurant for a meal where we were made to feel very welcome and appreciated specials were available as well as... We have had so many of our family birthday celebrations here as well as casual lunches and evening meals. We still return whenever we can even though we've moved away from the area. There is always a warm welcome and the staff friendly and obliging. The meals are freshly cooked and the portions are generous. Fresh bread and butter is... More
