We sat outside due to the muggy weather and it was so pleasant to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. Scones were warm... More

The tea is proper loose leaf tea, served in quirky, mismatched, vintage tea sets and no one managed to eat all of the wonderful food! Loads of vegan, gluten free and dairy-free options - a really wonderful afternoon, Pettifgrew... More

Gorgeous gluten free afternoon tea today. Great bread, scones and cakes - all gluten free. I'll definitely be back to sample more of their cooking.

My daughter booked afternoon tea for us as my birthday treat and it was fantastic. We had the afternoon tea for two, choice of 3 sandwich fillings, we had smoked salmon, ham and brie with chutney all were very tasty. Fruit scones with caerphilly clotted cream and welsh jam. Visited with the family for a final day of the holidays treat. Friendly service, relaxed & cosy with delicious & varied menu (baked potato soup surprisingly amazing)! Fantastic choice of home made cakes for pudding made us feel well & truly spoilt. Highly recommended!

The mismatched China was charming, the food was delicious and the setting just inside Bute park was lovely. The staff was also very nice.

Stopped at Pettigrew tea rooms for afternoon tea and was not disappointed. Great selection of homemade cakes and really good choice of speciality teas all nestled in the castle grounds. A lovely way to spend the afternoon.
