Mrs Too and Ben took the train from Bridgend to Cardiff on a Saturday morning and lunched at Pettigrew Tea Rooms after reading of it at TripAdvisor. What a delightful event it was! Although there is a small outdoor seating area, we ate inside. The glorious weather and a Saturday crowd boded for more of a wait than our schedule... More

As I was having an exceptionally bad day in the office, and it was gloriously sunny, I decided to take a walk through Cardiff and treat myself to a cup of tea and a cake. Sometimes all you need to do is get away from ringing phones, pinging emails and people scowling. Pettigrew's offered a bright spot in a rather... More

We booked in advance by email and they were very accommodating when I kept changing the party size. The table was ready when we arrived and jugs of cold water were put on the tables as soon as we sat down. The drink orders were taken in good time but we waited about 30mins for the food, when i asked... More

Good selection of teas served in antique tea cups, good selection of yummy cakes and light meals, service very good, a lot of thought has obviously been put into the styling and decoration of the tearoom. We go regularly and have recommended Pettigrew to lots of people who haven't been disappointed.

We were late for our table but the staff were not at all worried. We had a wonderful afternoon tea for 4 and spent a relaxed hour and a half chatting after our daughters graduation. The food was excellent, fresh and well prepared and there was plenty of room on our large table to be comfortable. Will be back!

Pettigrew tea rooms is one of my favorite places in Cardiff. It has a nice ambiance. I love having one of its exquisite soups when it's cold and rainy. It's also lovely when it's sunny. You can sit outside, have a cake and a tea and enjoy the view on Bute park and the Taff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit on what was a momentous family occasion....the formal adoption of our new grandchildren. And we are following this in a few days with another visit to celebrate a family wedding with yet more cake! A delightful venue with delicious food on the edge of the park. Thoroughly recommend.

The best place for a cup of tea and some cake, in the summer it's nice to sit outside in the park on their pretty metal table and chair sets. But it's just as nice in the winter, the inside feels so homely and comfy. The carrot cake and lemon drizzle is to die for, also the staff are great!... More
