Each time I visit 'Pettigrew's' the menu is slightly different. The food is all home made and the diet needs of numerous allergies are catered for which is outstanding. The savoury and sweet options are fantastic. Love their soups of the day and cakes. The decor is quirky without trying to be hip. A must visit.

I recently came across Pettigrew Tea Rooms when looking to order a birthday cake for my Mum. She loves carrot cake, to my disappointment as it's not my favourite, but as it's her favourite, so we placed our order. On collection, they were really really welcoming. This was nothing compared to seeing the cake. It was beautiful. They delivered all... More

The fantastic reviews Pettigrew Tea Rooms receives are completely justified. There aren't enough superlatives to adequately describe just how lovely it is. The location is beautiful. The tea rooms are quaint and cosy, and very prettily decorated. The staff are charming and amazingly helpful. The food is divine, and very reasonably priced. It feels indulgent, and yet homely and comforting... More

With a half hour to kill waiting for the tripper boat, we plumped for a Welsh cream tea at this cwtchy tea room on the banks of the Ely. Served cheerfully by an efficient waitress, the wholesome platter was promptly offered up for slaughter, as it were. A huge slice of moist Bara Brith, a fruit scone you could sleep... More

One of the best cake ever tasted. Nice stuff and big variety of tea, cakes and sweets (also gluten free). It's ideal to stop there after a walk in bute park. Absolutely recommend.

No room inside so we sat out in the sun. Wonderful service, our waitress was sunny and very efficient. The tea was fresh, sandwiches were delicious and the scones were perfect, the dough can be so easily overworked but these were light and lovely. We were a bit greedy and ordered the full afternoon tea and it was a bit... More
