We have used the Red Lion on many occasions and always found the staff welcoming and the food very good.. Today we visited for Sunday lunch the staff were still welcoming but the menu offered very little choice, so much so that 4 of the 6 only managed to find a main course and its not as if we are... As with one of your previous contributors, I have driven past this pub loads of times but as we were approaching it last weekend my wife said I have never been to the Red Lion so I said I will take you there. I was surprised as being a Saturday afternoon there were no customers there. We took our drinks... More

A lovely old pub that has been tastefully refurbished without losing the village pub feel. We went for lunch on a Friday. The staff were pleasant and service efficient, though it has to be said they were very quiet. We enjoyed the food. For starters I had Thai prawns with banana, which I ordered with some trepidation, and although the... More

Three weeks ago myself my father and two friends went to the Red Lion for Sunday lunch - big mistake. We had a drink before going into the restaurant which was pleasant enough; however the meal itself was a disaster. Three of us are vegetarian; there was only one vegetarian option available - which turned out to be just a... More

Went there last week on a lead woth living social. We all had a really good meal and the service was friendly and faultless. Even though we had the voucher the prices there were really good. Included in the deal was a complimentary glass of wine and this again was of good quality. We will definately return to this restaurant

So glad we have discovered the Red Lion. We had a lovely meal there - the food was excellent. Very interesting menu with a wide variety of choice and some unusual combinations. Will definately return

This very smart rural gastropub is located in a quiet village location but not too far away that its too "out of the way". The decor is very understated and suited to the surroundings, and still has many of the traditional features. The lady that greeted us on arrival was very polite and welcoming. Awesome upstairs beer garden with lovely... More

Enjoyed a stunning meal here on a Saturday night with my partner. I had the fish main course, which was superb, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked and beautifully presented. Also thoroughly enjoyed the prawn starter with coconut and garlic. Excellent food, good service and very pleasant surroundings, really enjoyable!
