Traveling abroad and some colleagues and I met for dinner one night. Clean place, excellent food, and good beer. Excellent night to relax and hang with friends.

Booked for 4 with manager, Gethan (sorry prob wrong spelling) on Friday for Saturday rugby match day. Cardiff was heaving but table was ready staff were cheerful, food was good and hot and beer and red wine were excellent. Very welcome on a very wet day! Whole thing was overseen by Gethan who was calm and efficient throughout. Would definitely... More

Placed a booking to eat at the pub for 6 people. The booking and arrangements were handled efficiently. Very friendly greeting when arrived at the pub. Had a lovely glass of beer while waiting for my friends. The food was very good and not expensive.

Called here prior to heading to a restaurant meal. Folks were watching the big screen and some wonderful smells of a curry being cooked - the food looked great. A busy pub with friendly smiley staff.

We went to the Pen & Wig after work for a drink and a bite to eat. It's always a good sign when any place is full of people and this pub was no different. A very good selection of real ales and a decent enough menu. OK it's never going to win a Michelin star, but if that's what... More

Had Sunday roast here... Under a tenner and good sized portion. You get exactly what you expect from a little old skool boozer... Nothing close to gourmet but way above weatherspoons quality food.

Came here with a friend, and ordered fried calamari for starters, and chicken roast for my main meal. The calamari was vile. cold, and to be honest, like no calamari I have ever seen before. Maybe in Wales, Calamari means something else. The chicken turned up, and although the vegetables were adequate, the chicken was so overdone it was literally... More

This pub is just 10 minutes short walk from the city centre but is well worth the walk. There is a lovely welcoming atmosphere and it is stylishly decorated. The menu is wide ranging from sandwiches to hot meals and "meal deals". The food is excellent value and served in reasonable sized portions. I only had a Tuna Ciabatta with... More

Perched on the edge of the City Centre in the most gorgeous part of the centre, this is a great place. Beers are first class. Food is lush. I recommend the steak. The platters are big, at least a two person job. Drop in if you're a visitor and enjoy the atmosphere. Friday nights after work is the best time.
