Previously reviewed this cafe last September and expressed concern over slipping standards. I still go there because the breakfast is GOOD. But, the service is getting worse, staff more interested in chatting to each other. BUT, the worse was to be half way through my breakfast and have to listen to an upset employee about her work grievances. Then to... More

Fantastic concept - loved the pots with shakes in, the mini bottles for milk and the enamel wear. Impressed with the home baked/local produce approach. The cleanliness let it all down a bit. Tray stank of stale milk, staff were brushing crumbs off tables onto arcade, tea spout was thick with old tea etc.

Had a can of fizzy soft drink and a small square of chocolate rice krispie cake and it came to £5.49. Thought it was a mistake when I first hear the price. Tasted fine, but not worth the price at all.

Came across this wonderful little cafe and was absolutely delighted. Fresh pots of coffee served in extremely comfortable leather chairs with a decadent array of home made cakes to tempt! We will be back!

Stopped here for lunch, and to watch the world go by. Friendly service, and opted for the jacket potato with homemade chilli, which was delicious! I can now see why my sister lunches here every time she shops :)

Has to be one of my favourite places to stop off whilst I'm in town. The door stopping toast and milkshake are the best!!!!!

I love coffee barker. In many ways it's great. The eclectic music and tasteful decor give a cosy a comfortable ambience. The cake selection is fantastic and there are a variety of hot and cold drinks on offer from lattes to iced mochas and utterly amazing milkshakes. The breakfast menu is fantastic. I can recommend both the doorstep bacon sandwich... More

Spent a short while here earlier in the week, whilst out sightseeing. Absolutely lovely little cafe. If I lived here I could spend many a day wasting time in their comfy chairs. I ordered a jacket potato with tuna, and cheddar cheese. It was more than satisfactory, I could not stop eating it. My friend also had a chilli and... More

I went recently with family and we enjoyed a nice drink in a relaxing trendy atmosphere. My smoothie was massive and very tasty!
