We had a wonderful Sunday lunch here. Really good selection to choose from even for children. It was lovely that you didn't have to order the traditional Sunday lunch as they had speciality pies, fish & chips and other mains if you'd prefer. I'm quite a fussy vegetarian at times and the chef was able to adapt the veggie dish... More

Beetroot, caramalised onion and goats cheese tart with px reduction - sound really appetising, but it was nothing like a tart, instead it was a biscuit of puff pastry with a few salad leaves, a piece of beetroot, small quantity of goats cheese and some other stuff -- very disappointing and not vibrant and tasty as the description lead me to... Wwe ate here Boxing Day with friends - the food was superb. 6 people, 3 courses and not a scrap left on any plate. Top quality. We have eaten here regularly and have never had a bad course. Can't recommend highly enough.

Congratulations to you all at the Kings Arms. It's very difficult to please most people I know. People want a pound of flesh, they work hard for their money, but expect more. I have an award winning eatery myself, I work 6 days a week, long hours so for me to find a pub/ restaurant/ what ever, that delivers, first... More

4 of us visited on a week night following a recommendation. It was pie night so 3 of us enjoyed the beef and also pie which was a rich stew with tender beef served with choice of potatoes for £10 pp. I must confess to being surprised that the pie crust had been placed on top seperately. Beef cheek at... More

Visiting Cardiff and decided to drive out for dinner based on TA reviews. So glad we did, the pub is warm and welcoming with an excellent menu, great local ales and interesting wine list (try the Malbec). We ate in the bar area where the fire was roaring. Great deli board of Welsh and European charcuterie followed by a generous... More

My wife and I visited here for Sunday lunch following the good reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. There was an excellent choice of food (e.g. six main courses) which was perfectly presented and the vegetables were particularly good. The service was good and at £16 for three courses, our meal was terrific value. A very pleasant experience.

Recommended by friends, we were delighted to find this cosy restaurant which competes favourably with restaurants for many miles around. Attentive service, very original and imaginative menu. Well-priced. Food outstanding. Looking forward to a return visit.

Called in to the pub on Sunday, was greeted to a blazing fire and friendly staff. Good selection of ales and wines, the place was so busy but the staff managed to accommodate a table in the bar, sunday lunch was beautifully cooked and presented in a rustic fashion. Would recommend for all occasions but definitely advise booking in advance.

Four of us went to the Kings Arms in Pentyrch, Cardiff. Auntie is 85 and we are 3 young ones in our sixties. We had starters, mains and a pud. All were fantastic. Calamari and scallops to start with were first class. Venison, beef cheeks and duck were great. Served with an excellent selection of fresh vegetables, well cooked and... More
