Went for £10 2 course special recently and whilst food was freshly prepared of good quality, the portion size was really small. The chicken was a small breast with 2.5 new potatoes cut into pieces with a tasty sauce but no vegtables, followed by the Eton Mess which was a small round ball - effectively 3 spoon full's to eat!... six of us visited on a Friday lunchtime. We were seated in the restaurant part, but decided to change to the top bar, which has a more olde worlde feel to it. The restaurant is really nice, but we weren't there formally, so the bar was more relaxed. They have an excellent selection of real ales , some of which... More

A party of four of us visited the Kings Arms over the weekend and we all enjoyed it. This is a traditional pub in the village of Pentyrch, just outside Cardiff and has a homely, cosy feel to it. There are two menus to choose from; the "Market Menu" and the "Supper Menu." We all ate from the "Supper Menu".... More

I took my family to the kings arms for a family meal as we had received a voucher through the door , when arriving to the pub we were welcomed by the staff . We sat in the top bar which was a great place to dine with children. The menu that they have has a variety of meals to... More

Me and my husband went to the kings arms for our wedding anniversary , when entering the pub we had a warm welcome off the staff and took us through to the resteraunt which is a cozy and romantic place with a number of tables that all all lit with candles to give that extra touch, we sat our table... Visited to this pub/restaurant a few times over recent years spanning across several owners and found that this time round, this village pub has got it spot on! Excellent service from the staff who were always smiling and who have could not done any more. Settled for the 'classic' burger which exceeded my expectations in both quantity and quality! Very... Really poor service and since it was taken over, the menu just isn't something that I would choose. Would not recommend coming here unless they start to take customer service a little more seriously, and have an urgent revamp of the menu. Used to be a really nice place to go, with a lovely atmosphere. Sitting at a really awful... More

This is the first time we had visited this restaurant after receiving a leaflet through the door with a money off voucher. We booked a table for 4 people on a Thursday evening. It wasn't busy but the service was painfully slow, it took a good 25 minutes for someone to take our order and then when we had ordered... More

My wife and I have always enjoyed the Kings Arms and we chose to go there to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately it was a let down from start till we'd had enough and left. We waited well over 10 minutes to be served a drink at the bar. The place wasn't busy but the barmaid was more interested in chatting... More

We booked a table for Sunday lunch as we'd heard good reports and it well exceeded expectations. Lovely surroundings, attentive smiley waitresses and stunning food from start to finish. The portions are on the small side (think quality not quantity) Will definitely be back soon.
