The food wasn't great , small portions - complained about tough steak but nothing was done. The staff couldn't explain the menu. It was very noisy and the service was poor.

Popped in here one Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. The pub itself has undergone a bit of a face lift since my last visit there, when I was dressed as a dodgy devil with a black bin bag for a cape one halloween evening in 1997. I'm sure it would be a wonderful place to go on a cold, autumnal... More

Had a lovely meal with friends on Saturday night. The Jacobs Ladder (beef ribs) were succulent and literally fell off the bone...mmm!! Our friends had steaks which were cooked to perfection. Lovely ale and good quality house wines. Very cosy in the bar, and I expect when the fire is lit in the winter...it will be even more so. We... More

Visited The Kings Arms after recommendation from a friend, and wasn't disappointed, food and service was brilliant, 3 course meal with wine for 2 people came to £68. My only (small) criticism was that the table was extremely sticky, to the point that wine glasses and salt & pepper shakers were stuck to the table. Will definitely return :-)

This could be a great restaurant but it is just too crowded. We took friends on a Saturday evening and were made very welcome. The food and service were excellent but as the evening wore on it became more crowded and it was almost impossible to carry on a conversation the noise level just escalated! Having decided to have three... More

Booked in for Sunday lunch on recommendation. There were 7 of us and we were not disappointed. At £12.50 for 2 courses and £16 for 3 courses it was excellent value. all of us were really pleased with our starters, main courses (the pork loin was so tender - delicious) and desserts. Great choice, great service, great food. Thoroughly recommend... More

Went for £10 2 course special recently and whilst food was freshly prepared of good quality, the portion size was really small. The chicken was a small breast with 2.5 new potatoes cut into pieces with a tasty sauce but no vegtables, followed by the Eton Mess which was a small round ball - effectively 3 spoon full's to eat!... six of us visited on a Friday lunchtime. We were seated in the restaurant part, but decided to change to the top bar, which has a more olde worlde feel to it. The restaurant is really nice, but we weren't there formally, so the bar was more relaxed. They have an excellent selection of real ales , some of which... More

A party of four of us visited the Kings Arms over the weekend and we all enjoyed it. This is a traditional pub in the village of Pentyrch, just outside Cardiff and has a homely, cosy feel to it. There are two menus to choose from; the "Market Menu" and the "Supper Menu." We all ate from the "Supper Menu".... More

I took my family to the kings arms for a family meal as we had received a voucher through the door , when arriving to the pub we were welcomed by the staff . We sat in the top bar which was a great place to dine with children. The menu that they have has a variety of meals to... More
