Decent food in a traditional surrounding

The food here is quite good, though perhaps not at the top end of refined cuisine. But it is certainly a nice dining establishment. Food is well prepared with fresh local ingredients. Arrived to a warm welcome and had a glass of champagne at the bar before going into the restaurant. We had the seven course tasting menu which was faultless - so nice to try different dishes. The portions are small so don't skip lunch on the day you go! The sommelier was very informative and helpful and his recommendations were... More

Beautiful dining area, excellent service, comprehensive wine list, knowledgeable staff and our five course taster was a delight. A very enjoyable few hours spent in convivial surroundings. A repeat visit is not too far distant.

We enjoyed a 7 course tasting menu with marching wines. This could have been a fairly stuffy affair as the restaurant exudes a certain hush, but our sommelier was great. He was knowledgeable and approachable allowing non wine buffs like ourselves to have a thoroughly informed and enjoyable visit. The food was beautifully presented and delicious.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous meal here last Friday. We opted for the 9 course Taster menu (normally £99 per person but we had a Living Social deal which meant it was £99 for the two of us - Bargain!!!) We also decided to go with the matched wines. I am not in any way shape or form... More

Enjoyed a meal for two with my wife as a result of a gift through Living Social - 2 for 1 - 7 course taster menu, normally £69pp. First thing to say is that on these type of things I normally feel as though we're on a cheapie and get treated accordingly. That was not the case here. Firstly we... More

Booked a table for an anniversary dinner on the 7 course tasting menu (using a Travelzoo voucher). Have eaten here before and previously found the courses came a bit too quickly so asked for it to be slowed down. Staff more than happy to accommodate. The food was stunning, some of the best I've ever eaten. The highlight was the... More

The tasting menu is the best I have had. Great flavours match by first rate presentation. The staff made us feel very welcome.

When I was looking for somewhere to take my mum for Mother's Day the Park House menu stood out amongst all the ones I had looked at. It also came highly recommended by a work colleague so it was somewhere I had been looking to go to for a while. I can safely say we weren't disappointed and my mum... More

I went to this restaurant on Valentines Day and had their 7 course menu with matched wine. It was an excellent experience. Food tastes fabulous, wines are carefully selected and staff are friendly. Could do with a better selection of Desserts.
