Taster menu

Beautiful meal! Great service! We both thoroughly enjoyed! We had both the vegetarian and the meat taster menu and no complaints with either.

Overall a lovely evening. Great food - both the vegetarian and meat taster menus every course was beautiful, well presented and tasty. Small courses as expected but plenty over seven courses. Brilliant service initially at the entrance and from the bar man upstairs. Points for improvement 1) pouring our own wine and water, as if forgotten about... is this acceptable... More

Quality of the meal outstanding. Rather pricey but overall worth it. Service when we arrived was attentive and very good. Setting a little drab could do with some refurbishment ! However biggest concern was as the evening progressed it was clear that the staff were ready to go go home as we were the last of the two tables that... More

I have previously dined here on several occasions. We again opted for the 9 course tasting menu. Service from the outset was lacklustre. They had to be reminded that the amuse bouche came with a glass of champagne. Half way through the evening we were forgotten about. Luckily another table near us , also on the 9 course tasting menu... More

I booked this from a Travelzoo offer of prosecco afternoon tea for two for £35. The building is beautiful and we were met at the door by a staff member who took our coats. We climbed the stairs to the bar area where we were sat at the window, overlooking the museum. The crockery was mismatched and traditional which added... More

Me and my partner dined here on the 30th as a treat and the majority of the reviews sounded good . We booked in with no problems and were welcomed into the lovely building by a nice gentleman who took our coats and sat us to our table . We ordered cocktails - one which they didn't have the ingredients... More

We decided to try the Park House for a special birthday. The building itself is grade 1 listed and impressive (a William Burgess) - you felt you were somewhere special. Overall the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere in the dining hall was warm and Christmassy (on account of the extremely large if strangely shaped Christmas tree). As... More

We went here for a Christmas celebration to find we were in a room with no decorations, no festive table, nothing just a plain old room in need of something! Felt like I was sitting in a empty unloved room. Food was poor, and we all left hungry. Not much taste and very fast service. To end the evening they... More

Christmas party in the Vanilla Room, a small venue under the Park House. As a period building, it is accessed by steps, rooms are linked going either a broken up feel or opportunities for smaller groups to sit and chat away from the main bar. There was a good variety of well cooked buffet dishes, served by enthusiastic staff, which... More

We love it here! We have been for lunch and dinner and to quite a few of their organised events and we just can't fault it. The food is divine with amazing presentation and their wine list is extensive. The staff are knowledgable on both the food and wine and we always have a most enjoyable time every time we... More
