Visited with business colleagues due to their recommendation. What a place. Fish starter and the lamb from the ' specials ' choice were just first rate. Recommended wines were not the most expensive which is a nice touch but really complemented the food. If you are local , give it a go. Shame I am 150 miles away !

The menu was original and fresh. They only make a few dishes but they do them so very well. There was a thinly sliced pork loin covered in a cold tuna sauce that was simply stunning. My steak was brilliant and having sampled everyone else's meal offering (we're all good friends) there were three other dishes for me to try... More

Small menu often updated which inspires confidence over other places with massive choice and no consistency / quality. I have eaten here many times with groups from a couple to over 15. The food has always been great and the service good. In my book the best Italian in Cardiff. Good house wine also :)

Excellent three course lunch. Great welcome, service and value. Several choices cooked freshly and some specials added to the basic menu. Plenty of taste in each dish. Marvellous duck main course and chocolate dessert.

This small restaurant is a real gem, the menu may not be long but everything on offer is cooked to perfection. Friendly service too.

This is a wonderful restaurant. On booking I requested a table downstairs. It was for two for us. It was quiet but busy enough for a lovely atmosphere. Everyone seems to know the owner, each party was greeted, som with hugs or a simple handshake. We felt very welcomed. The best bit is without doubt, the food. I had Carpaccio... More

Who'd have thought an Italian restaurant next to the City Arms in the shadow of the Millenium Stadium could produce the finest Pasta I've ever tasted. Selim and the crew are marvellous . Get a table on ground floor . We'll fly over again from New York for the Wales/Ireland game in 2017 and will dine with Selim - lets... More

I was looking for a decent Italian in Cardiff that served authentic food rather than the standard spag bol. Casanova didn't disappoint. It's quite a snug restaurant... And even though we went on a mid week evening it was quite full upstairs and down (which I guess is a good sign). The menu was exactly what I was after -... More

What a surprise to find this little gem of a restaurant.. the name isn't great but the food is delicioius.. a very limited menue of 5/6 starts and 5/6 mains but wow! Carpaccio to start.. thicker then usual but divine and wonderful mushroom risotto! and a wine from Puglia by the glass that was great.. it is tiny, the staff... More
