Popped in last night pre-theatre. Tight menu, as one would expect from a restaurant from this size and some interesting specials available as starters/mains not listed. Re-assuring that it's all fresh and made to order, not frozen, part prepped/cooked. Bread was excellent as were the olives. I a bit of a hurry so went for main and dessert. I had... More

Popped in for lunch, wonderful service and welcome. Great value set lunch menu not a huge choice but the quality of all the dishes excellent! The Chilli black pudding starter and Italian sausage and ham stew perfect for a cold and wet welsh autumn day. Would definitely return.

Had our third excellent meal in this wonderful little Italian restaurant. Service, food and wine are all absolutely first class. Instead of offering a huge menu of good dishes, this restaurant has a relatively small selection of truly excellent dishes. If you like real Italian food you won't be disappointed!

We just turned up on the off chance on Saturday lunch time. The service was friendly and attentive and apologetic that as so many people had walked at the same time there were not enough menus to go around. We were in no hurry and happily accepted the little glass of fizz as compensation. I had a very good goats... More

Have been here many many times, as a two and as a large family and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Simple small menu but excellent quality ingredients for a reasonable price. Perfect for a special occasion or a treat. Cannot wait to return!

We went here for lunch as a treat for our anniversary and what a treat it was! The set lunch for £12 was excellent value as both the starters and the mains we chose were delicious... Crema di Fungi and Terrina followed by Cassouela and Pollo Cacciatora...so tasty and accompanied by a lovely bottle of smooth house red...we shall certainly... More

The food is always great as is the wine and when the service matches this it is one of Cardiff's finest. In 5 visits we have had flawless service twice unfortunately mediocre the other times have been a bit of a mixed bag but never poor. We will undoubtedly keep going back and hoping we get the flawless experience again.

My daughter and I had dinner in August and when it was time for her birthday celebration, this was her first choice. The manager (whose name I don't recall) is a delight and made us feel very welcome. The service was good, even though they were quite busy on our recent visit, and the food is delicious. We will definitely... More

Ate here in the evening as part of a group about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. Lunch today was disappointing. Good points, bottle of tap (maybe filtered?) water without asking. Basket of OK bread, which you won't always get in a £12 two-course lunch. My pork terrine starter was very nice. My wife wasn't so impressed with her... More

The food here was really lovely and I would certainly eat here again. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meals and they even catered specially for a couple of diners. Unfortunately at no point were we offered drinks and had to ask the waiter for the wine list after we had ordered food. This is bizarre to me and has... More
