Visited this indian with family, who are regulars, and started off ok. There was a large group of us and they were able to accommodate that. On entering the restaurant, a lady left with something attached to her shoe... I told her (as no-one enjoys that embarrassment!) and we realised she had a chunk of wood attached with a SCREW... More

I have to admit I visited the restaurant along with friends having enjoyed a number of drinks in the Sophia Gardens area of the city. I make that point as my appreciation of the cuisine may have been a little tainted by having had a few drinks first. Nonetheless, the meal was most enjoyable. The restaurant was quite empty despite... More

Been eating at the Indo-Cymru for the past 16 years - nothing has chaned in that time. It is provides exceptional value, traditional curry house food, with the decor to match. We are always met with warmth and a smile, as well as top notch service. Visit this restaurant if you are ever in Cardiff

I have been here with my other half a few times and we have always enjoyed it. It is often fairly quiet in the evenings - which I don't understand as it is such a lovely place! Last time we ate here we shared some poppadoms with chutneys to start and were given a really nice selection. For my main... More

Mains were fine but nothing to shout about. Thought it was a bit stingy that my prawn biryani didn't come with the usual omelette (only the veg biryani offered that). That said, there were more prawns in the dish than many restaurants would serve. The meal was unfortunately let down by the quality of the naan - instead if being... More

I have been in the restaurant and had a meal (sit in), I have been in to order a take-away and I have also purchased from just-eat as they have recently joined. This Indian restaurant is by far the best in Cardiff. Yes there have been times when I've had to wait a little while longer than my previous visit... More

I went to this restaurant with my wife last night and the atmosphere was really pleasant. Having arrived we were seated in a warm location away from the entrance and our orders were taken immediately. Food was gorgeous and i could really taste all the flavours within the dish, food was on time and it was a wonderful experience. I... More

Visited Indo Cymru with friends the other day, second time I'd been in the last month. Both times I've been impressed with the food. Both the Lamb Jalfrezi and Lamb Korahi are excellent, really tasty and spicy. The Pilau rice was the perfect compliment for both dishes, and it's also worth going for a Peshwari Nan bread. The service was... More

This restaurant was excellent. The spices were well blended and the curry was served hot and the portion was generous without being overwhelming. We liked the décor and the little booths for each table. The only disappointment was the lack of atmosphere in the restaurant. I guess we just went on a quiet night. The food was brilliant value as... More

I've eaten in many curry restaurants around the world and in South Wales but THE INDO CYMRU in Canton, Cardiff takes some beating. Great Food and Great Value. It is no wonder that the owner is still in business after 30 Years !!!...Keep up the good work.!!!!
