We enjoyed our meal at this restaurant/pub it was nicely cooked and value for money. There was a fish and chip night where you could eat as much as you wanted for just over £7, all the usual favourites and it looked lovely. My husband ordered pepper sauce and mushrooms as an extra for his meal but had to ask... More

We visited here for the carvery Sunday lunch as a family. The floor and tables were filthy! The food was good, but the surroundings were a real put off. Couldn't wait to finish and get out of there. For £10 per meal we expected better.

I stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn for 4 nights and pre-paid for a "meal deal", comprising breakfast and evening meals. What a difference between the two! Breakfast shift staff were warm, welcoming, polite and helpful. The food was cooked promptly to order and well presented and tasty. On that basis, I'd award 5 out of 5. But the evening,... More

Let me start off by saying that the place was packed when we arrived, this is just an observation and not an excuse. We sat down and put our order in but had to ask for more cutlery as ours didn't look that clean. When the starters arrived the food was not bad but one of the starters was missing,... More

Stayed for 4 nights in the adjacent Premier Inn whilst on business in Cardiff and took advantage of the meal deal which I must say is good value for money. No problems with the breakfast as there was everything you could possibly want from fresh fruit to the full cooked breakfast and the service was good. The evening service however... More

This place is pretty awful. If you want to go to a nice place to have some food then avoid this at all cost’s It’s certainly not Marstons quality. So it started off with some short haired middle aged woman guided us to a table without cutlery which had a wet seat which we told her about as she buggered... More

A table was booked at begining of week for the following saturday for 14, for a birthday party. When we arrived we were put on two separate tables, which made it very difficult because we had young children in the party. We did complain but was told by manager it was the best he could could do. We were told... More

As part of our business trip we had free breakfast and tea for three nights at the brewers fayre so why not take advantage. My first breakfast was a full English plus cereal. (Gotta push the boundaries on the first breakfast!) Although I was stuffed, I enjoyed the sausage, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon. That night I ordered the chicken... More

This place seems hit and miss judging by most of the comments on here. Ordered two meals at the bar, prices were fairly reasonable, standard pub grub and standard prices. The Food came pretty quickly and looked very nice on the plate. Gammon and Chips was nice, well cooked. The other meal was Beef Lasagna and Chips. First off, the... More
