The staff are great, very friendly and can't do enough for you, the food comes out quickly and is hot. It never appears very busy which tends to put us off. I do think this could be turned into a wine bar with snack food, which we would probably use more and I'm sure the teenagers would also. It's quite... More

We came across this place, while staying locally at Bryn Meadows hotel & spa! This public house has a lovely seating area inside for dining, service was quick & friendly, nothing seemed to much for the staff. Food was very nice & quick & I particularly liked being asked how I would like my Lamb cutlets cooked, it's not often... More

We tried this pub again, as we'd heard it had changed hands. And indeed much better. Our order was taken at the table, which was a nice touch. There wasn't an enormous choice, and no prices on the specials board. But our food came quickly, and was very hot. Pretty good too. Not the best ever, but very tasty. More... More

I could not believe my eyes! This placed used to be full of smiling friendly staff and customers! Food was awful mind you I'm not surprised the chef spent most of her time on the bar! Looks to me like same staff wrong leader!

It's nice to see an enthusiastic friendly and very welcoming member of staff in the beech tree. After the previous owners daughters were always down in the dumps and not very friendly to day the very least. The girl with shoulder length dark hair works her socks off and still manages a smile and even a friendly chat while she... More

The atmospehere was not very inspiring. The food also far from exciting. Even though it was not busy we had to wait quite a while for our food. The servant was doing his best but that couldn't turn our visit into a success.

The Beech tree has never offered a carvery service, so I'm surprised to see a review claiming it does. Being a regular, I've always enjoyed the food there, in fact, and in my opinion, it's the best around.
