I last visited here in 2013 and left quite a mixed reviews along the lines of "great pub, rubbish food". I visited again out of convenience in November and was pleasantly surprised. I had the curry and it was very tasty, if a little small. But for the price, it's hard to knock. I hope this place continues to improve... More

Good service, lovely staff, hot fresh food.....really enjoyed. The pub was busy with people watching the sport on tv which made it a bit chaotic but once they had gone it was better and a calmer atmosphere

A very noisy but obviously popular hostelry. Plenty of room with lots of tables tucked away in odd corners. Not the biggest or most exciting menu, some of which appear somewhat over priced. Staff appear to give priority to drinkers over diners Meal was average pub grub, and portion sizes varies greatly. tables were 'sticky' , toilets were clean Not... More

I was dropped off at this pub, whilst the rest of my family went shopping at the nearby MacArthur Glen shops. We originally planed to eat at Harvesters but,I got them all to eat here & were pleasantly surprised.I had the Welsh faggots & of course drunk the Brains Beers (not a driver)

Will deffinately be visiting the Red Dragon for food again , the service, food and surroundings were lovely , if you love fish you have to try the Fish Platter , the calamari just melts in your mouth , and you have to be VERY hungry to eat allllll the mix grill , but its well worth the being "rolled"... 1 - ok food, small portion sizes compared to other places locally. 2 - cramped small seating area for all 12 of us. No one could get in and out from table. 3- long wait at bar for drinks service. Place appeared clean and presented well, but don't think I would be rushing back. There were lots of other people... More

Visited on 15 November lunchtime. I had gammon, and my Wife had Taverner's chicken, both meals improved since our last visit! What surprised me though that the I P A beer I normally have was very cloudy and not up to its usual standard - I don't know who looks after the beers here, but whoever it is, is not... More

We were 4 friends meeting for lunch. Warm friendly atmosphere excellent service good food. We did have an overcooked steak but it was replaced without any fuss and the staff were very apologetic. We spent a few pleasent hours eating and talking. Will defiantly use this venue again.

Considering it's about 2min drive /30min walk from my house I rarely go there as I remember it being dirty and groggy from years and years ago... But paid it a visit and was pleasantly surprised and glad I went back there again. Great food/prices and the staff and very friendly and chatty (positive way). Also good for a bunch... More
