Unexpected Lunch

Haven't been to this pub for several and loved the update it's had since the last time I went. Great mix of country pub and restaurant feel. Great pint of Brains SA and a good selection on the menu. Food arrived quickly and was delicious for the price. Looking forward to return for an evening meal... read more

On Tuesday we went here for a meal. The food was tasty; it was just a shame about the very slow service. It didn't help that I ordered a main meal that came with chips and they forgot to cook the chips. When I brought the matter of the missing chips to the attention of the waitress, she was not... We went here for a lunchtime work meal which we pre-ordered. The menu was extensive with maybe too many choices. The service was very good with our food arriving as soon as we arrived. The food however, was just average. It was presented well, but the chicken was overcooked and dry and rather diasappointing. It's a shame really as this... More

Four of us sat in cramped conditions, having booked a table some time before. My understanding of a Specials Board is exactly that. Breaded Place at £9.75 must have come out of a box, being hard & crusty. The chips were mostly hard as well, with two spinning to the floor when my fork tried to pierce them! Nothing special... We have visited this restaurant on many occasions, however we have just been to the pheasant and the food was disgusting, I asked for a half chicken at £9.99. When I received it I was not expecting Pousin, I managed to retrieve one piece of meat, the rest was all bones I sent it back the waitress stated that the... More

Typical Brains Chain Pub - I have been here many times, normally tend to go here during the summer time as the outdoor section is lovely with a large field next to it for friends or kids or play ball games in with a surrounding wall. The food is pretty much the same as all Brain Chain Pubs. Reasonable and... More

We were a party of 17 last night. We had a lovely area all sat in the corner. Plenty of choice for all ages. The meals all arrived together. We did have to wait about 45 mins for our food but it was busy and there was 17 of us. Some of us had the chicken and mushroom special and... More

My family looked forward to our Christmas outing,we chose The Pheasant in Penyfai, because on a previous visit they were advertising their Christmas Menu,it looked good so we booked. It was the worst thing we could have done,I have never seen such muck served on a plate.Everything was re-heated so much it was soggy, roast potatoes (if you can call them that) were...
